Silas Entjes is there something wrong with sharing a few things for eg graphics in the infotainment system with the parent company? BMW owns Rolls Royce just like Toyota owns Lexus and Mercedes Benz owns Maybach, like Vw owns Audi and Bentley. There's no way these cars won't share some things with the parent company to reduce cost. What matters and what should be distinguishable in my opinion should be exterior and interior design, the ride quality or comfort, luxury materials, finish and luxurious features should be more in the luxury subsidiaries of these parent companies. What will you say then about the Maybach that is just an extended wheel Base of the already long S class? There's absolutely nothing distinguishing it as an uber luxury car away from the S class except for wheel Base.

Samson Okoro maybach is not just a longer wheel base genuis. Its not a seperste company. Its an ultra luxury trim level. Not only does it have a linger wheel base it also has significantly better build quality and materials... You can even get alligator skin if you so wished. Not to mention exclusive maybach features and luxurious amenities. Maybach are also limited in production so they will hold their value much better than a normal s class. And I am not even scratching the surface of differences the difference is more with the DNA of the car rather than solely the looks. And that's especially true with the Pullman limo. So there's plenty to distinguish the maybach from the s class. you're just blind.
