Not taking anything away from the rider (that would be beyond ignorant) but since the Duc (and every other 200Hp sport bike I know of) has both Traction and Wheelie control, you'd be surprised how easy it is to launch hard like he did. Yes it does take a good amount of experience and practice but you don't need to be a top tier pro to go this quick and fast. And I know it needed to be a production bike for apples to apples comparison but if the Duc was extended just two to four inches, he would have easily beat the Sapphire 👍

You can even have either the V4R which, adding Akrapovic race exhaust system and Shell's racing oil, makes nearly 250bhp or the Superleggera V4 which is a V4R but lighter. Adding to the fact that US' motorcycle emission standard actually kills some bhp, I'd say that the Ducati can tie the Sapphire
@asharak84 Жыл бұрын
@@justaname9544 I wonder given he was having trouble keeping the front down even at the end if more power would help much. Less weight might not either as depending where it's from the weight distribution might actually be worse for that particular use case with the rider being a bigger proportion and being high & far back. Of course a longer swing arm would be huge, and then maybe more power or less weight could help too :) damn nice bike.

@@solidsnake7167 I just spent 30 minutes watching a video about combustion and electric engines...It's true about the negative impact of battery manufacturing, but it's nothing compared to the oil refinery..But as u said, that's a whole different subject...But saying things like electric cars will never beat combustion engine cars on race track seems like a little emotional perspective to me...Battery technology is evolving and advancing everyday.....EVs are already an everyday ride for many people which was a dream just a decade ago...I am no technology expert and u might be right about EVs never really catching up combustion engines but I for one will love to see that day if ever it comes, instead of hearing constant high revs from all these cocky supercar owners even at low speed....

I've never seen such a high quality video like this one ever in my life, this is on a completely different level, editors deserve a raise, the production quality of the video is amazing. The stop-motion to pronounce the Lucid as the winner in the first race is INSANE.
