2018 Special: 50 year old Montgomery FREIGHT elevator with an EPIC MOTOR!

What a better way to start off 2018 by filming this channel’s first freight elevator. The motor is so epic, it will distort your speaker/microphone, so I’d recommend to turn your volume down.
Keep in mind that I was not trespassing at any moment in the video. As I showed you at the beginning, the passenger elevator was out of order. This enables me to ride the freight elevator. And yes, this elevator is turning 50 years old this year.
Brand: Montgomery? (I guessed right)
Capacity: 8,000 lbs.
Fixtures: Montgomery Globe & Parallelogram (G&P)
Power: Inground Hydraulic
Floors: [*1, 2, 3, 4]
Classic Leveling: Yes
Year Installed: 1968 (people rode this elevator before people walked on the moon)
Oh yeah, this building is the same one where Paul Blart: Mall Cop was shot at.
Also, MA Elevators’ recent videos at the Lahey Medical Center were literally taken right next to this mall around the same time I was recording. We were THIS close to meeting up!

The passenger elevator being broken does not give you permission to ride the freight unless their sign or an employee said so. However, I don't really care. This is an epic elevator! G&P fixtures are awesome on their own, coupled with a freight makes them even better, and then there's that motor. Awesome find.

MA Elevators I was sternly told by an employee not to go up there. I believe it is either the roof, or a storage floor.

MA Elevators The passenger elevator was out of service. I was told not to go up to 4 when I was assisting a shopper with a stroller. Technically, yes, I was allowed on. (They really didn’t care)
