Clearly, it's a good, honest performer. It's a small surprise that the automatic is quicker than the manual. If I had to have one of those cars, the manual would be my choice.

Digi20 hard to say...... it's not a dual clutch transmission just a regular 6 speed box.... it does show the 40-110 is slightly faster on manual so you might be right. How often do you do a 0-100 though right....I'll take the manual because it's more fun and the in gear acceleration will be the same.

He murdered the launch in the manual. Didnt you watch it? And turbo lag hasnt been a thing since about 1995. Pure old school autos blur their shifts for smoothness, which kills acceleratio, dsg doesnt which is why its always quicker. The only reason this normal type auto beat the manual is the drivers shit launch. It was obvious even earlier coz he bombed it in one of the earlier scenes too. Not enough revs and way too gentle on the clutch. Not surprised- he couldnt launch the kia cerato manual either.

@@sugarnads Turbo lag is still a thing , Go from 2nd to 3rd in the old ZC32S and then try it in this , its not long but theres definately a half second of turbo spool up. Which is obvious really since when you change gear you lose boost pressure , it cant instantly regain that.

@@thomas56701 the new Suzuki automatic has no dedicated sport mode. Simply D and M. Even on the normal one, it is quite good and fun gearbox. It also suits the Boosterjet engine in the normal Swift.

I have my quantifiable doubts about that statement of yours. I own an SR20DE B13 and recently bought a ZC33S and there's no doubt force induction is the way to go. History proves it just check F1 and how all Teams had to switch to forced induction to remain competitive and that's just one example.

Driven both, don't feel much different in a straight line quite identical in speed. Nothing to call home about. And not to mention I got my 86 gts for 10k (for mods) less than what the dealer wanted for zc33s. And I run the swift club here in australia, and have owned swifts for 8 years (modified zc32s and zc21s). Toyota 86 times. 0-100km/h: 7.25sec (13th) - Manual. 0-400m: 15.19sec @ 152.79km/h (13th) And good review for the swift too - posted a 7.86 0-100kmh, which i imagine was for the manual. Really depending on surface, I totally believe the 7.39, there are guys who have got well sub-7 second brz 0-100km times by launching the shit out of it and flat shifting. N line is different to n. Its 1.6t and dry clutch dct Close match with swift sport (doesn't have dct {is torque converter auto}) However depending where you are from they have differing mod markets. Swifts make great race cars

@@WTRGK I've only driven this new swift sport. When you're pressing along hard, it can hit the limiter when you expect a bit more rev range. However the reason you look for that extra range is because the steering and suspension are 100% on point giving you great feedback and confidence. It's a fun car.
