Dear Sir, writing from Portugal, I just bought my new Triumph exactly the same model and color! I have a question to you regarding your helmet, jacket and gloves, could tell witch you use or recommend? Thanks and nice videos.

Hi filipeleite silva, thanks for watching and for your comment. The Tiger is a superb bike, enjoy and be safe. My helmet is a Caberg Duke, jacket is Oxford Montreal 3.0 and gloves are Klim Vanguard GTX goretex. I highly recommend all of them :)

Good morning RB, I live in Maidstone Kent, so all the roads that you ride are of course familiar, I pick up my new bike which is the same model, next week so watching your video really inspires me, you ride so well, I learn a lot from watching you ride, can you briefly explain about your satnav as it is the only thing I have not ordered this time, I had one on the old bike, did you order it with the bike or after market, and is it only one lead from the satnav into the 12 volt Din socket at the bulkhead, I am only asking because my old satnav was hard wired so no connection needed, I never really used it much for touring I always prefer a map with simple directions jotted down on my tank bag, safe riding, great videos.

Hi, and thanks for watching. I am certain you will enjoy your new Tiger :) I've had the Satnav for a few years but ordered the Triumph mounting bracket when I ordered the bike. It is just a single lead that I attached a plug to so that I can plug it into the accessory socket. I have plans to make a bracket so that I can eventually fit it above the TFT at which point I'll wire it into the accessory socket permanently. Enjoy your new bike and ride safe! :)

Glad your enjoying the new machine, I pick mine up this week! So the rev limiter isn’t fixed at the necessary limits it just warns you when you exceed them by turning red? Thanks

Hi Cotti. Thanks for the comment. Loving my new Tiger. One of the functions in the display setup allows you to set the gear indicator for 'running in'. Basically this turms the rev counter 'needle' orange when you exceed the recommended rev limit. It's just a visual warning though you can still exceed when you want or need to. Enjoy your new one and ride safe :)

RetroBiker Have you had your sun in service done now? I took myn out for the first time yesterday and was great but for the first 100 miles the rev limit needle was ridiculously low, do you know what it is up to the 10p mile mark? as over 100 miles it changed and I got the 4,500rpm as you indicate. Thanks

Great to see you enjoying the bike. What do you think it will be like two up for touring?
@RetroBiker6 жыл бұрын
Hi Michael Neve and thanks for watching. I think the bike would handle fully loaded 2 up touring very well. I will be doing many miles touring on mine albeit solo.

What sav nav mount do you use please?
@RetroBiker6 жыл бұрын
Hi, that is the oem Triumph satnav mount, but I have since developed one that sits above the dash using a homemade bracket. :)

Hi sir. Any progress with this issue? I´d also be interested in doing something like that, I think this is the best place to place it.

Do you get much wind buffering?
@RetroBiker5 жыл бұрын
Hi, as with any bike/screen combination wind strength and direction play a part but generally speaking I would have to say buffeting is minimal

One thing I hate about new bikes, is having to run them in,new tyres etc,, enjoy your new bike.

Thanks I agree, I am looking forward to touring in spring and summer riding some of the roads over Dartmoor in Devon, revisiting some areas I have not been to for a few years.
