It’s an 8 element tumbling pass. They can lose momentum very easily and get tired which makes their dismounts much harder to stick. The very squishy mat doesn’t make it easier but it needs to be there for safety

Please excuse me because I am new to this, but why do they go so fast ? Wouldnt they have more control on landing if it was slower ? (I'm more used to artistic or rhythmic gym)

The sport is called "power tumbling" for a reason. One would need to get more power to do multiple skilles. In gymnastics, you may be only doing around a maximum of 5 skills (may be wrong) however these power tumblers are trying to stretch skills down a long rod floor and make it to the end without loosing power

Rusty not necessarily many compete double mini as well but don’t qualify for finals so they are likely training at least 2 of the 3 trampoline gymnastics events

Zed Zen double mini is completely different then power tumbling? It’s still under the umbrella of trampoline gymnastics which uses the same skill set. You could easily say that bars is a completely different type of gymnastics compared to vault, floor and beam which also use similar skill sets but is still under the artistic gymnastics umbrella... unless you meant power tumbling and artistic tumbling is different which it really isn’t...

Have you ever done gymnastics in sports clothes? You’re pants slide right off and your shirt always lifts up. Leotards are the best for that reason you never have to worry about exposing yourself. Men aren’t as shapely as women that’s why their shorts stay on
