If you don't know the massive difference between the 2017 Warriors and the 2018 Warriors in terms of how focused each team was and how they executed.... then you definitely did not watch the Warriors during that time. That 2017 Warriors team was so dialed in and their offense was so in sync. They ran their offense through Curry's off ball actions and then KD getting easy jumpers and drives to the net because of Curry's gravity. The 2017 Warriors really cared about playing like an actual team that shared the ball. The 2018 Warriors is where you started to see them getting lazier and away from team basketball, they started to become too dependent on KD's iso brilliance and played a sloppy "We're gonna coast the whole season and then just beat y'all in the playoffs just because we know we are more talented" basketball. The 2017 Warriors were humble and hungry, the 2018 Warriors were just coasting off their supreme talent.

If the 2017 Warriors are playing 96' rules against the 96' Bulls.... I just can't see them winning at all. I think the Bulls win in 5 because of Rodman's rebounding dominance and he would absolutely agitate tf out of Draymond into a suspension or mental breakdown. Bulls would just physically wear down those skinny shooters of the Warriors. The 96' Bulls would be too big, too strong, too smart, too mentally strong, and too athletic for the 2017 Warriors. The 2017 Warriors, that team wasn't that mentally strong, they had fragility that the Bulls didn't have because of their leadership core. Jackson > Kerr, not even close.

@@jamessteiner3196In Ticket’s defence, he does bring a different perspective on the show. Marz has a very objective approach to basketball talk(when he isn’t trolling), with incredible research, analytics to fall back on when needed, great understanding of the game on an eye test level. Chill town, in his own way, is also very similar; objective, with a slightly more old school approach. Ticket and Ox, on the other hand, have a more subjective approach. They focus more on the intangibles. Knowingly or unknowingly, they are drawn to players with attributes they admire, players with strength of character, who don’t shy away from the big moments, who choose to take the big shots and miss, even if there was a better play to be made. Hence Ticket’s sympathy for players like Jordan Poole, and love for the “dogs” of the game, players who grind things out instead of the ones that make things look easy. It’s the variety in perspectives that makes The Panel such a watchable show. N all of them know their shit, regardless of who’s cookin who.

I don't consider the 2012 or the 2013 Heat to be anywhere near top 5 all-time teams, but I do consider the 2017 Warriors to be one. That 2013 Heat team should have lost, they were very fortunate to survive that Finals. At no point did they look that dominant throughout the playoffs. They dismantled the 8th seed Bucks led by Montae Ellis and Brandon Jennings, then lost one game to the injured Rose Bulls, then got taken to a full 7 game series against a Pacers squad that had no superstar. That 2013 Heat team is very beatable in terms of NBA history. They typically underperformed in the playoffs in a very weak east. Give me the 2017 Warriors in 6 because of their depth and 3 point shooting efficiency. Their offense also executed better in half court sets, the Heat would need to push the ball more, but then it could become two point fast break team against a sprawl out 3 point fast break team sprint. Give me the 17' Warriors, they also ran a more consistent team system.

The biggest asterisk on the 2017 and 2018 Warriors compared to other all time great teams like the 1996 Bulls or 1986 Celtics is their competition. -Played an injured pelicans teams without Cousins - Played a declining 2017 Cavs team that was a bottom 10 defense - Played a Blazers team with no defense - Played a Spurs team without their best player on Kawhi The 2018 Rockets were elite comp but their hall of fame point guard got injured in game 5. I think they’re the greatest offensive team of all time but it’s hard for me to say they are the greatest team of all time. - S

No, it wouldn't......Draymond would lose his mind trying to stay in the game with Rodman.....Draymond doesn't have the mental discipline needed to deal with a cerebral type of player like Rodman. Dray tries to do the same thing to a degree but he never had to deal with receiving it.....Also, Rodman is way more athletic and maybe even stronger than Draymond. He had all the physical gifts for his position as well as the mental part......he never got tired and never let an opponent live in his head, rent-free......and we all know The Worm turns it up to 11 when it's playoff time....

I wish Del was on this episode because he’d tell the truth. There’s no way on earth the Bulls beat the Warriors. In any era. Let’s be real. People are caught up in nostalgia. People were saying the warriors were cheating. But the bulls could beat them? Gtfoh. The bulls have no spacing and only 3 perimeter defenders. Dennis Rodman will be exposed kukoc can’t guard a chair. And the warriors had an elite defense as well. Idk how people are logically thinking this is possible. Especially without the illegal defense.
@syzorst

GSW has the better offense but the Bulls has the better defense. The separator is what era they play in. If it's in the 90s, the Bulls win because they would easily control the pace with their superior defense.

@@king-spj-8667 What nostalgia? 🧐 Kukoc , Kerr and Buechler are all good spacers. Rodman is the greatest rebounder of all time literally giving the Bulls 5.5 extra offensive possessions than opposing teams. Harper , MJ and Scottie are all 6’6- 6’8 with long wingspans and can guard multiple positions. They can go big with 7ft 2 Longley at the 5 or theh can go small with Rodman or even Scottie at the 5 to counterattack Draymond at the 5. The offense centers around MJ’s elite scoring gravity and then Pippen and a Kukoc score off of that gravity. What do you mean the Warriors don’t play non scoring threats ? 😂They were literally starting Zaza Pachulia. Draymond green is not a scoring threat. Iggy was being ignored post 2015 in a warriors jersey. Looney is not a scoring threat. The illegal defense doesn’t since whatever era they play they’re going to playing under the same rules and will Adjust accordingly.

@@jesslancaste83aj my brother if they put the reliable “spacers” out there. They’re defense is compromised. Kerr kukoc and Buechler playing heavy minutes they will get attacked every possession by Durant and curry and Klay I just don’t see a reliable gameplan where they should be favored
@syzorst
@syzorst Жыл бұрын
@king-spj-8667 The offense is ran through Jordan's scoring obviously with Pippen being the facilitator and help scoring as well with Kukoc "if he's on the floor" making great shots. Not to mention, Rodman will kill Draymond on rebounding which is very key because that gives more opportunities for the Bulls as well lower the chances of GSW getting second chance points. As for the defense, there's a big Gap. You bringing up Draymond being DPOY and GSW being the 2nd best defense in the league at the time but you're comparing that to the Bulls who are an top 5 all time great defense in NBA history. This team has 3 all time great defenders. 2 of them being DPOY (MJ and Rodman) and the other being the best on ball defender in NBA history (Pippen). Do you have any idea how rare that is to find that on one team? It's just as rare as finding an offense as potent as the 2017 Warriors which is why I said the separator is determined by which era they play in. If it's in the 90s where the defense is more centric while playing in a slower pace then the Bulls take but if it's in 2017 where it's more offense centric with more spacing and a faster pace then GSW takes it.

Draymond disrespect is so corny bruh. Dude is a great facilitator, good rebounder, extremely versatile and vocal defender, and a great individual defender which people never seem to want to give him credit for. I’ve seen the man lock up Anthony Davis as a past his prime declining player. Like come on now. If bro could score 16 a game y’all would adore him.

Lebron MJ Kd Giannis Shaq My fav player is steph, but yeah he's getting hunted in defence for sure.. so lebron it is.. mj is automatic. Kd or kawhi or bird? I think kd is just more consistent than the other two, he's someone who shines in clutch in both side of the floors.. giannis? He's the mini shaq, he has absolute op defense+ overpowered offense.. Shaq is just the superior version, he's also an automatic choice for real.. Wait a second, I don't think I need lebron's drive to the bucket in this team. A real 3point player would fit better with shaq, giannis too.. damn, I have to take steph then. So, here's the absolute list: Steph MJ Kd Giannis Shaq

The 2018 Warriors Are The Greatest Team Of All-Time? That team wasn't even the best version of them. I bet L Ron Dim came up with this title. Anybody that knows ball knows the 2017 Warriors were a much better squad. The 2017 Warriors are a legit top five all-time team. The 2018 Warriors are not even top 10. The 2017 Cavs were 12-1 going into the Finals, and the 2017 Warriors were 12-0, the Warriors absolutely destroyed the Cavs in 5. The 2017 Kawhi Spurs were going to lose in 5, people need to get real about that series. The 2019 Raptors were better than the 2017 Spurs, and they struggled to finish a KDless 2019 Warriors squad. Dub listening to Skip Bayless too much.

The 2017 Warriors aren't the greatest team ever 😂😂. Ppl only say that bc LeBron lost to them. What's funny is when he came back from 3-1 it was "he beat the greatest team ever"🤓 bc they had a 73-9 record. Then when he loses in 2017 it's "he loss to the greatest team ever"🤓🤓. Kawhi didn't have a problem against the so called "greatest team ever". They had to purposely injure him. Not saying the Spurs would've won that series but, they definitely wouldn't have gotten swept. The Warriors are the greatest team yall seen cuz yall don't know the history of the game. The greatest teams of all time are the 96 Bulls and 2001 Lakers. Ppl really act like the Warriors was just this unbeatable force.

That take about the warriors is bad curry said he didn’t peak himself he was finally allowed to shoot that’s what y’all seen curry is actually peaking rn his full game everything is better now he can take over with screens he can go iso he said himself that was his biggest thing he couldn’t iso the way he wanted to cause how defenses was playing him adding kd allowed him to work on that more idk to me that was curry coming out when he was finally allowed to run the offense and shoot he was doing that since college so to say that’s his peak I’m down playing him yes he got the mvp but that was because of what the world started to do everyone was shooting 3s to the point the whole league switched that’s impressive but what did after was great and kd was a help and curry impact was a help to Kd just like Lebron and wade Kobe and Shaq their games was better suited for each other as much as I like him and Russ on okc he was the only shooter harden wasn’t what y’all think he was at all he was our bench guy for a reason yes he did but it was only kd that’s not a good fit into what we was going into if you was watching the game curry and kd needed each other in that time
