Is this the crew dynamics article you were talking about: www.yachtingworld.com/practical-cruising/happy-crew-happy-boat-how-to-avoid-crew-problems-and-a-bad-atmosphere-on-board-108927 . I'll have to read up on that as I'm trying to find some crew members now.

What a difference a year can make, do you remember how stressed out you were at the start of the season. And it was a good season not to many emergencies. I wish you both a happy new year and a wind in your sails for next season. : ) peace

Godspeed Ruby Rose!!! I started 2018 following about 20 couples sailing. Two are no longer on KZbin, most of the rest I no longer watch. If I can't watch a 10 min video of them, I think I'd jump overboard if I was stuck on a boat with them. Two that I didn't cull where obviously Ruby Rose and MJ. I can't wait to see what the new year brings. Thanks for sharing your travels.

My husband's partner owns a island in the Bahamas. It is 32 acres and completely run off grid through solar panels and wind turbines. We own a wee little portion of it also. Lol. Well anyway next time you cruise through the Caribbean I would love to set something up with the Y'all to visit the Island. All of our home bases are the low country South Carolina.

Hello ! Nice episode with interesting questions. I think you have a point regarding the sailing community in Europe. A lot more closed but mostly shy to come to someone they don’t know. However there are tons of people who would be ravished to have you on board for a sun owner or a cozy meal. I’m in Portugal, waiting for our Lagoon 42 to be delivered in May, and you’re very welcome anytime with a guided tour of Lisbon and Sintra...

I enjoyed this visit with you, I'm looking forward to your vlog in 2019. I do not sail, only had 1 lesson, and a wife that just shakes her head, but I like your common sense and humor and sound decisions. You wouldn't want me for crew, you would be better off with a bucket with a hole in the bottom. Looking forward to the Wynn's episode also, bet that was a great visit. Cheers! Thanks mates!

IMHO weather forecasts often are over weighted. OK, on the open ocean they may be more predictable. But often local specialties are simply not represented in the forecasts. Well, I always recommend to do sorrow inquiriere for the forecast, one should not rely too much on them. A sharp lookout and good practice still has to be done. At least not blaming the skipper it they go into bad weather. Weather may be other than predicted. I had a strong wind in Netherlands, a friend that day was nearly in deep trouble (out in the north sea). It was Sunday lunch time when a front went through - it was advertised for Monday afternoon. The weather forecast for Sunday announced fair sailing. Also in the Mediterran - the Balearens are not represented in weather forecasts - not regarding the 1000m high mountain area.

Happy New Year y'all! I have a question if the video has not been completed yet. In the event that you do buy another boat, have you thought of a name for it. I know where the current name came from but was wondering if you will name the new boat, mono, or cat,either, Ruby Rose II? Or will you come up with a completely new name?
@sailingrubyrose6 жыл бұрын
Hey mate. Our new boat will definitely be Ruby Rose or Ruby Rose II. As it’s the name of both of our maternal grandmothers, we are very attached to it.
@rmccugh616 жыл бұрын
