Why do they issue it as a tornado watch!? I barley herd them say it was a test. I would have been scared and thought it was real! I do like the way the do it though, it can't help people prepare more, and we get EASs to record. Also nice fails you catched, hah

MKX issued a TOA (tornado watch) for the tornado drill for the same reason they issued TOR (tornado warning) and SVS (severe weather statement). simply put, they used those to help people be aware when in an actual severe weather situation side note, but, “can’t help people prepare more” huh?💀

How far in advance is this test publicized to the masses on the general news? IMHO, the vast majority of people who are not EAS enthusiasts will see this as a "crying wolf" type of thing...that could cause the reaction to a REAL alert as " Oh, it's just another test." Also, poor reception may cause the words "test" and "drill" to be lost...

In Wisconsin the statewide tests happen once a year usually with a couple weeks in advance. They (most everywhere) sound also every Saturday ranging from three mins where I live too thirty seconds in other places. My town also uses it as a noon whistle Monday through Friday for about 5 seconds. But If there is a chance for severe weather they will not sound the sirens that day
