I know this is an older post but I love the stealth switch idea. I just picked up my new FX yesterday (also from Mt Holly Motorsports) I plan on doing the same mod so thanks for posting!

Sorry if I didn't see this earlier, but if you can find the DC-DC converter buried in the bike, there is an orange wire which is the enable wire. If you put a switch on that wire that can interrupt it, you have a stealth mode kill switch. Electrically it couldn't be simpler, but they've kind of built the entire bike on top of the DC-DC converter so it's very difficult to get to.

I did get to test ride one, I loved it. I test rode the DSR as well but I think the FX is the one I'm leaning towards. Love all the mods you've done. I think this would make a great second bike for me. Thanks for sharing your videos, liked and subscribed and look forward to future videos. Hope your back is healing up.

can you tell me why the fx more? ill be honest i love the fx/fxs look but i dont know if i should get the s just for the better range. still contemplating

I bought a new FX two days ago. Yesterday I pulled up to stop sign that up a little hill so when I took off onto a busy road I kind of gunned it and because there was a lot of silt on the road, I dumped the bike. I am walking with a limp and think I bruised a rib, I am only 170lbs so the Zero is a big bike for me. I really learned not to gun it from a turning start.

Hope you're healed up and riding again soon! It's a quick bike for sure.

Just want to confirm the video he suggests is accurate. Little scary cutting the wire and getting the front covers off sucks but its doable.

Hi. Great vid. I have a 2023 FX and looking to swap out the mirrors. Can you please share the model you use? And bolt size if at all possible. Can’t seem to find this info anywhere. Thank you!
@GregHassler2 ай бұрын
@@bodhirosca5851 I don't have that bike anymore, but they were RAM mount mirrors. I think the kits they sell now include multiple adapters for different mirror bases, or can even include their own handlebar clamps.

Thanks for the video. Can you provide a link to the rear shock guard that you mention? Also - have you considered any changes for improving seat to peg distance? I'm also 6' 4" and feeling cramped on it. Cheers!

I'm 6'4" too and about 200 pounds. The FX/S was the only one that felt comfortable from the whole Zero lineup when I checked them out at a dealer. I'm thinking of buying one. How has it been for you?
@GregHassler5 жыл бұрын
It's been good. I actually find the FXS (supermoto) quite small with the 17" tires. The FX with the 21" front and 18" rear is a good bit taller. As you saw I put risers on it and eventually the MX seat which is taller (it's flat - doesn't have the dip in it) and they made a big improvement as well.

Stealth would be good for evading police at night😉

Does the stealth mode kill the ABS too? That would be nice.
@GregHassler3 жыл бұрын
I am not sure, I pulled the ABS fuse so I already eliminated that.
@mv2woods3 жыл бұрын
@@GregHassler yeah I thought about doing that but I'd like to be able to easily re-engage it for road riding. Would be nice to have the stealth mode accomplish this instead of needing two different switches

I haven't, but people have. Easier to play with the gearing to get what you need, but 85mph on a dirt bike is fine.

I can't find anyone who has taken it on single track. I'm wondering the range on it for serious offroad
@GregHassler5 жыл бұрын
50+ miles for a ZF 7.2 like mine for trail riding, probably 35-40 miles for more aggressive riding. Temperature matters, in near-freezing weather take another 30% or more off of those numbers.

Only has 45 mile range tho
@GregHassler5 жыл бұрын
It varies by temperature and riding style from 35 to 65 miles or so. But yes, it's a dirt bike. The other Zeros get much more range.
