Yuzuru is beauty and poetry personified in motion. When performing, he simply just sucks the air out of your lungs and leaves you breathless. Many times while watching him i forget to breathe, that's how absolutely gorgeous he is whilst performing.
@mongji10224 жыл бұрын
Exactly, since we are too focused on his expression and movements it made us forget how to breathe. In addition, when watching Yuzu, it really sucks you into another dimension like you are watching a short film and the experience is amazing. It makes your imagination run wild with the small movements in his choreography. Watching this performance made me think about a situation of someone finding what is important to him or what makes make him happy and when he found it at the end, the smile and self-hug make you think that you should take care or love yourself. However, this is just my interpretation of Haru yo koi, it may be different from others. Sorry for the long rant, I just really love Haru-chan.

I could not say that any better. He is just beautiful, inside and out. Yes he does teach us a lot through dance.

Shaky camerawork can't hide how into it he was. This reminds me...I don't understand why some commentators expect him to make eye contact with the audience or look up. Some songs like this introspective one doesn't need that. I think doing those things that may even make the magic or the world he is creating go away. We don't need to look into his eyes to be caught in the world he's creating and be connected with him. Also love the slow build-up and energetic release towards the end. In keeping with the music. Brilliant! Thanks for the recording and upload.

His performance always leaves some mixed emotions in my heart. Joyous, amazed, gratitude, sadness, and all other describable and non-describable feelings. This is just how special all of his performances are.

The last few minutes of ending is more or less dramatically shown by him...and the most gracious bowing at all four directions is sweeettt! He is skating here with all his heart and soul,giving his full dedication for his fans worldwide...no surprise he has a rockstar following.
@eggizgud4 жыл бұрын
I seriously think the bows are part of his choreography to suit the music we just heard or the performance we just witnessed. The Worlds 2017 is my favourite because those were majestic bows after the biggest skate forever. This one is like the quiet, introspective song...subtle and graceful.
@mztee81073 жыл бұрын
@@eggizgud Beautifully put. Have noticed that, too. Yuzuru's bows express the emotion of the skate he has just performed. Yuzuru pays attention to every detail. He brings us a complete skate. Much respect to Yuzuru.

Wonderful perfomance,full with passion and power,typically Yuzuru's style. Because the Ice Hall here in Helsinki is bigger than most other ice rinks,he takes it to the fullest,skating with much splendor and glitter! Two thumbs up,Ice Prince! And thank you so much for uploading and sharing.
I'm in awe with Yuzu's spins ❤️ to not talk about the beauty this gala program is ~ his ability to create such beautiful and touching programs is far the most artistic thing I've ever seen ❤️😍 thanks for the video ❤️❤️

According to Rena Moriguchi why Yuzu wears pink for his costume please see below for her explanation “はかない(Hakanai). There are people commenting on his cosutme on this programme. Too pink, too feminine, too ruffle, etc. Maybe. But if you know the keyword of this song is はかない, then you see his choice is right. はかない is written as 儚い. The left side of this kanji 儚, イ means "human", the right side 夢 is "dream". A dream of human. Beautiful, free, temporary, vulnerable and not real. It is a very Buddhism inspired Japanese way of seeing things. If you look at the lyrics of this song, you can see the similarity. はるよ、とおきはるよ。まぶたとじればそこに あいをくれしきみの なつかしきこえがする (Oh spring, spring so far away. When I close my eyes I see there I hear your long lost voice. You, who gave me love) To Japanese, the cherry blosson is NOT a symbol of energy and life. Cherry blossom is a weak tree. The flower blooms and goes quickly. Like happiness of our life. Comes and goes. It is an icon of spring and new start for sure, but it is a symbol of human dream. Our happiness is not ever lasting. But because of so, we cherish it more when we could have it. His costume and choreography is so on spot to express this sadness of はかなさ (はかない is an adjective, はかなさ is a noun). This is only my opinion, so feel free to take it differently.”

Thank you for this meaningful explanation. I wish to add that I hope Yuzuru wears whatever he wishes to wear, and that he lives and loves as his heart leads him. I pray that he be happy, healthy and that he continues to skate for himself and for us as only he can - with pure grace and sublime beauty. Thanks, Japan, for sharing this man with the world!

Miki Yuu Reading your second paragraph over helped me understand something that was a little puzzling to me. Yuzuru, it seems, plans every detail in his performance, from choreography, to his music, and his exquisite costumes (even to changing the color of his gloves...) Each time he skates to this performance the costume is a little more frayed (the ruffles on the sleeves and below the waistline) and I wondered why it wasn't being repaired. With your explanation about the fragility of things_ everything being temporary, and not lasting, etc., it struck me that even this small detail of the costume's signs of wear is probably meant to be symbolic. And he would not want it fixed. If true, how powerful. Again, I appreciate your detailed explanation.. I greatly admire the delicacies of the Japanese culture, and the beauty of its expressions.

In response to comments here, to me this skate symbolizes the hope of new life, and the joy of spring. I see the kiss to the ice, as a kiss of gratitude to Mother Nature, for giving renewal, and hope. To me, this is a hopefilled skate; not a sad one. In keeping with Yuzuru's positive philosophy, and forward-looking outlook on life. This is my opinion. Also, Yuzuru's end of performance bows always match the emotion of his skate. Yuzuru pays attention to every detail. He is a Master of his craft. Much respect to you, Yuzuru.

Enjoy Masquerade then, is that different enough? Imo just let the skaters skate to whatever they want, especially their exhibition programs. Just like you'll have your favorite types of songs, movies, hobbies, etc - nobody should tell you what to like and what to do. Let them have their fun. Most skaters tend to have their preferences anyway, it's a waste of time to comment on all of them telling them to do something drastically different.
