Why is there no official ISU video of Yuzuru's performance at this event? Seeing results in the kiss and cry is part of the whole experience. The only full official video I can find has all the skater's performances except the ones for the skaters from Japan. Whomever edited them out of that video SHAME on you. Bad, bad sportsmanship. Thank God for fancams like this or we would never have gotten to see his performance.

There is actually no video uploaded by an official broadcaster of Grand Prix (Match/Arena from RUS / Eurosport / CCTV / Asahi), and the one you found was probably a broadcast version uploaded by a fan. I don't know for sure what happened, but here's my guess: the Japanese skaters' performances were probably cut out because they were blocked due to copyright infringement sought by TV Asahi, the Japanese broadcaster of the GP series. I get that a lot myself with my subbed pieces too.

I have seen the official results kiss and cry on a compilation video of all the records Yuzuru has broken but I don't think I've ever found an official medals ceremony for that event either. That's weird. It was kind of a strange subdued competition all around from what I see. All the Russians looked mad. Thank you for your reply. Much appreciated. ❤️

改めてすごい。いやホントすごい。これからのフィギュアでこれだけ圧巻で言葉を失いような演技に出会えることはあるのかな・・・ ジャンプは難易度が高いものにのみ注力すればGOE馬鹿高で、さらにPCSまで連動して、スピンの多彩性・柔軟性、スケーティングのうまさを感じられないプログラムで点数だけ上げ続けたこの数年間。自分はなんだかワクワクする気持ちを失ってしまった。 もちろん今の上位の選手は持っているポテンシャルは磨けば充分に魅せられる演技ができるはずだけど、点数積み上げの現状に加え、ジャッジの採点基準からすると、技術と芸術の融合的な上手さより、個々の技術を切り取ったGOE稼ぎの方が点数的に有利なんだよね。 はい、難易度高いジャンプ飛びました。助走長いしステップなくてもOK、後ろ振り向きながらですけどGOEは難易度高いんでサービスしちゃいます。次スピンです。工夫はないしポジションも見逃すしスピン途中のジャンプも低いけどレベル４でGOEも最高評価です。プログラム最後のステップではそれまでの省エネ演技を払拭するかのごとくイキイキ踊りまくる、わあすごいねえGOE最高評価あげちゃうよ。あらワールドレコード更新しました。 ・・・フィギュアファン馬鹿にするなよ。

I sooo appreciate it when fans sacrifice such precious, once in a lifetime moments to capture them on camera and bring it to the rest of us. @durcheinander I usually only film practices and gala, as you'll find is the case if you look through my list of videos. This was a spur of a moment decision when I noticed almost the whole row in front of me empty, and a perfect nook under the railings to put the camcorder (so I wouldn't unwittingly block anyone's view). Since I had an idea of his trajectory from Helsinki and ACI, I was mostly able to just pan without focusing on the camera screen during the performance itself. So, no worries, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video :)

Юдзуру, конечно, гений. Какая пластика, какое чувство музыки, и всё это наложено на великолепную технику. Уникум. Сравниться с ним может только наша Камила, она тоже гений и уникум, у неё тоже великолепные техника, пластика и чувство музыки. Но сейчас у неё пока нет кое-чего, что есть у Юдзуру - свободы и раскованности, которые приходят с многолетним опытом триумфов на больших стартах. Юдзуру уже избавился от напряжённости присущей соревнованиям, и он не катает поставленные хореографом движения, он уже просто уходит в музыку и свободно творит в ней. Это уже чистое искусство. Как хорошо, что они существуют. Иногда хочется просто чистой красоты и тогда смотришь их прокаты.

Да, Юдзуру говорил об этой свободе после второй Олимпиады. Что в плане медалей он уже достиг всего, чего хотел, что теперь будет кататься ради самого катания. А Камила... ей предстоит еще очень многое преодолеть, чтобы достичь такой свободы. И я не знаю, есть ли у нее такая же всепоглощающая любовь к ФК, как у Юдзуру, которая бы сделала это возможным.

This might be the best figure skating program of any discipline, male of female, ever, of all time. Yuzu delivers the technical elements without sacrificing any artistry. I am a big Team USA fan, love Jason and Nathan and Vincent, but some of Yuzu's program are entirely next level. Next galaxy. I wish I could see him in person.
