As an owner of a current generation WRX, I can confidently claim that the WRX is far more entertaining in an environment where higher speeds are possible than an everyday city environment. Not to mention that the firmer suspension tuning of the WRX isn't tuned to the broken pavement of many urban environments. Aside from that minor critique, the concept behind this advert was ambitious and well-executed, and I hope that it encourages more people to purchase the WRX.

I love my little 18 WRX. I got the Premium with Performance Package. And as for some folks, there's a difference between spirited driving and beating the car like a rented mule. Launching at 6,000 rpms at every stop light is a good way to screw up any car. Thanks.

Exactly! Tired of seeing guys brag about "dumping the clutch" , "Launching", "redlining", bragging! This car is very expensive to buy, and expensive to have and maintain. I didn't know people had $30G's to throw away like that.

Subaru warranty "sorry we can not replace the part, we see that you drove the car hard" false advertising guys, you need to slowly take turns and SLOWLY accelerate. You advertise the car as a sports car but then blame people when something goes wrong and refuse to fix

Where is different between WRX & WRX STI

I would say that the biggest difference between the WRX and the WRX STi is the entire powertrain. Where the WRX uses the newer FA20 2.0 liter DIT engine, open front and rear differentials, and a viscous center differential, the STi uses the older but more powerful EJ 2.5 liter, with limited slip front and rear differentials, and a stronger gearbox with electronically adjustable center differential. Outside of the powertrain, the STi also has stiffer suspension tuning and more powerful Brembo brakes.
