I was accidentally there when visiting this road on my trip to Romania. They closed off the road and no one could leave the top of the mountain. Glad they did because I witnessed one of the coolest things in my life.

They said they're planning smth new, like hybrid, regular ICE, or even electric(that won't work obviously) and released only new WRX on their new platform. The reason of it was done by EPA - intentional, because Subaru is the cleanest combustion cars ever made, but EPA is lead by environmentalist propaganda of the left, and it's been postponed

4:00 to 4:11 is on replay, I play it from time to time and it just makes me happy. The way the car is planted on the ground, the face shredding grip, unique in the car industry. This record won't go down easily. I'll return on this clip after I'll buy a Subaru. Definitely, this company deserves more sales and recognition because it's light years ahead of european cars in some aspects(not all).

There are spots where you can pull off to the side/park actually like you see at 5:02 but it was still a lot of effort I believe,this section is just huge and it has a lot of elevation to it.Also during summers during days it also gets a lot of traffic sadly, sometimes you end up going 2 meters in every 15 minute.Seeing this road and someone driving like this on it is just simply uplifting my soul.

Unfortunately, Subaru has nothing in the pipeline right now that would be R5-compliant. This Type RA would be R4-compliant, and is not allowed to compete in the WRC. I do like that Subaru (especially Subaru of America) is looking for new roads to tear up (and not just racetracks).

I’ve always been a proud Subie owner and these videos bring me back to that feeling of my first STI test drive where I instantly fell in love. I’d love to see the full onboard lap especially with Mark narrating like he did on the Isle of Man record run. See the weight transfer and hearing the car as it runs through this road is other worldly!

That's going to be a while since you can only have 1.6 liter max. And the R&D for a new engine in really expensive. The smallest engine they have is 2.0 liter.

The final statements on the video filled me with pride. Been a Subaru fan since 1995 McRae WRC win and an owner since buying a new 2000 2.5 RS and have owned many since. There are better looking sports cars, there are better tarmac cars, there are better family sedans but Subaru STI is the Swiss Army Knife if the sports car world. Try owning a Corvette in Vermont with children and you will see what I mean. THANK YOU to Subaru For staying true to us! Keep being awesome and we will keep buying!

I did the Transfagarasan 2 summers ago. It is a trully spectacular road. The only downside is, that it can get preety busy in the summer months (it is closed almost 3 quarters of the year due to bad weather and high risk conditions).

My point is that I was in Romania for a year and people there drive like morons. I think Subaru also set the record for Pikes Peak a year or so back. previously it was David Higgins, brother of Mark, who was also driving a Subaru. but it was broken by another Subaru driver I forgot who, it may be Pastrana. the reason why it was Pastrana who broke iy because David crashed around 3/4 the way.

love the video, you guys should do a run at Beartooth Pass in Montana/Whyoming, it's an amazing road (one of my favorites) and would make a super awesome speed course. about 50 miles, 20+ hairpins, 200+ other turns, over 4,000ft of climbing to almost 11,000ft at the highest point, it's really incredible. just something to maybe think about

There is nothing like a Subaru #love video. Nothing is really expected except to be always at they best and superb development. I am proud to be Subaru tuner (#xtremeracingtuning) and have been tuning them since 2006 and in every way, just love to drive them tuned and put that forever smile on the owners faces. My first experience with the RA was way back 2007/2008 ( xtremeracingtuning.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=110&t=134) and I loved it. Thats where we got out Moto from for #XRT - Viciously Tuned, Driven Hard! The drive, the sound, the handling and most of all, the Subaru Spirit in all the models...Just a prefect balance. I was a Marshall in sector 7 and had a field of view of about 300 meters (984 ft). Each time he went past it was like a scene from mad max, that engine and blow off valve were sooo loud. A couple of times i couldn't even keep my eyes open because of the wind it made as it went past.
