using the off-arm to block Imboden's attack. I don't think it was intentional, but I do see it. Looks like both refs saw it on video too. Not to mention, in my opinion, Le Pechoux got away with corps-a-corps to avoid a touch more than once...

​@@matthiasjamison-koenig9560 IMBODEN provoke many corps à corps to avoir a touch and remise. as LE PECHOUX use his off-arm (on sticking it on body) and that can substitute too. And IMBODEN like steps forward, to be attacked then try to touch (then referee like to give IMBODEN an attack (sometime without any point of attack (t.9 or t.83))... and other guy a counter-attack (even with all point of attack (t.9 or t.83) before any offensive move or IMBODEN) I suppose that's new way of fence... ("New interpretation" of rules say guys. That's not interpretation and just refering for beginner (You turn, u got priority, then my turn...). But if FIE say that's ok ? No, they don't say anything about it...) Pro tips : Priority need to be win. And many of time, nobody have priority (mostly if someone just beat a blade, or if go forward, or if, point threatening the moon, obviously if bent arm...) And that's u need for get priority : attack, and if the other guy already attack, u can parry for ripost with priority (dont lost too much fencing time to ripost after parry.), and u can be "point in line" u can try avoid, but don't get priority. U dont lost it to try avoid too Beat the blade don't give any priority... Attack give it. But u can attack by beats the blade. (that's suppose attack begin t.9) for NOT LOST the priority of ATTACK, you have to follow rules t.85 Beat the blade (call Deflect the opponent's blade) can break a priority of "point in line" (t.84 1) (= NO more priority for opponent), so u can attack just after deflected blade (and take priority on attacking) And if u want to know order to judge the correctness of an attack, you can read the t.83 2 on d) you got : Actions, simple or compound, steps or feints which are executed with a bent arm, are not considered as attacks but as preparations, laying themselves open to the initiation of the offensive or defensive/offensive action of the opponent. Don't interpret it. Just read it. There is not many interpretation. On a) you got : The simple attack, direct or indirect (cf. t.10), is correctly executed when the straightening of the arm, the point threatening the valid target, precedes the initiation of the lunge or the flèche. Threatening is interpretable... But we are at thrusting weapon, so be clever... Strainghtening of the arm is interpretable... But if a fencer put his elbow back, just interpret the strainghtening from an fencing position : "en garde" And precedes the initiation of the lunge or the flèche... just do it. (u can make baby lunge, or beginning of flèche, but it's final movement to break distance)

Just watch or in 0.25 slow motion ... at this point there's no arm in front of the electric surface... wé clearely see the shoulders coming but he doesnt cover anything ... And the most annoying in here je when u watch it slowely u can see that its way after the tuch... what does the video work for then ??

But im agree, LEFT : LE PECHOUX sticks his arm to his body, that substitute valid target, and is usefull for "parry" with body and the demand on 22:53 is just amazing (the man who substitute call video for that reason) But for IMBODEN => At all three weapons, it is forbidden for a fencer to cause corps à corps intentionally to avoid being hit, or to jostle his opponent.
