Thxs again buddy, it’s like your doing exactly the same system as I am! Also was working on a a1990. Next I have a a1707 with full fan spin and slow working boot. Was thinking of sensor issue but all the thermal sensors are giving back normal temp…. Any ideas? Or videos on this? Thxss

Unlikely to be the battery.

Hey Tim what’s the best way of diagnosing the new MacBooks, especially the 2017-202 using the schematics and board view in an orderly fashion. I know that the power rails where mixed up and it confuses me a lot.

hi, as a hobby I delight in the repair of macbooks, I am a beginner, I have this macbook that I bought to try to get it back in operation. At the first attempt it turned on it seemed to have a correct absorption of amps and seemed to charge the battery, from the beginning there seemed to be activity as the trackpad seemed to respond to impulses. Obviously it never turned on, no sound, the fans never turned. It does not heat in any point, observed with a thermal imager. A newbie question, does this type of macbook start up with no battery connected? I tried before and to perform other operations a DFU restore but it was not successful returning errors almost at the end of the process. The logic shows no signs of the presence of oxides or liquids. It has a strange behavior, without battery connected it remains stable at 20v but with variable absorption from 0.03A-0.07A if I connect the battery v from 20v to 5v, cyclically. Here are the measurements I made: Also it has a strange behavior, a continuous variation of the voltage on r3460 and r3450, from 0.5v to 1.8v with continuous oscillation, I replaced u3200 and it is now stable on 0.8v I repeat, I am a beginner, forgive me if I make any mistakes in the description

Hey Tim great video . Can you please share what is the thing that you did I order to find out if the Mac is in DFU mode. Can it also be done on 2018 MacBook Pro ?
@TCRSCircuit3 жыл бұрын
Not exactly sure what you mean. You use a USB-C cable and plug it into another mac via the master port and use Apple confirgurator 2.
@nitzanoz61283 жыл бұрын
@@TCRSCircuit I meant how do I know if its a problem of the T2 chip if the PPBUS is present ? what did you do in the video which make you understand that its not a T2 issue?

@TCRSCircuit2 жыл бұрын
@@3ijnweu3oq3 sorry to hear. It’s hit and miss with a low wattage charger. Go get a 87 or 96w.

Thanks for sharing, this is pure gold. How do you measure the other side of the board, do you have a spare battery you connect so you can test?
