Glad to see someone show a horizontal! I’ll be doing colorful horizontal. It’s such a beauty! I’m a bit tempted to go with hourly, but I’m going to finish off my current planner which goes to Dec. I love those new notes pages tho. I tried an Ink & Volt at the beginning of this year and liked the sections they had at the beginning of each week/month. This will make it easier to incorporate those ideas into an EC. I have the pen loop and you can’t really fit anything thicker than a standard pencil in it, so I never used it. I wish it still came with the pouch, but that’s easy enough to just take from the previous planner, and I like the box. Thank for sharing! Love your Disney cover on your current planner! 🏰 (the neutral didn’t appeal to me until you said it screamed Frozen, then I was like Ahhhhh....lol!)

Loving the changes this year, except I always use the zipper pouch in my planner and I will definitely miss that. I used that pen holder for the first time this year and I love it. It's very sturdy and I'd be lost without it. I'm a colourful vertical girl all the way.

Thank you for a very informative view of the new Erin Condren planner. After using mine for the first time this year, I am "hooked." I will be sticking with the horizontal, but I really like the colorful. I am a white space planner and I don't use many stickers. The ones I like come from Plan Fantastic and they are for the calendar page. As for the pen holder, not a fan,it's too snug .

I love your true review. It does scream frozen to me as well. But I’m think the neutral is the way to go. I like the dash boards, mostly the check list one that would have been fantastic last year when I was coaching my son’s hockey team and my hockey team. I too live the duel tip markers

Your new planner looks lovely. I think the changes to the neutral layout have been well thought out; they’re subtle enough for the planner to remain neutral but without it being overly plain and boring. I’m happy to hear you’ve found planner peace and look forward to seeing how you set your new planner up. Providing I can get the planner at a good price - I have to factor in the exchange rate and shipping costs from US to Australia - my preferred planner is also the horizontal in neutral. My brain works best reading left to right across a wide space and I like controlling the amount of colour on my page. Too much pre-printed colour and decoration gets too busy for my brain and I have trouble focusing on what is important. I’d also like to get some of the long sticky notes and the zipper pouch that attaches to planner using the elastic band. I think I need to start saving my pennies :)

For the dire hard horizontal planner people please go look for pics of the colorful horizontal. They decided this year to add color to the boxes where we will actually write. I HATE IT!!! 😡 Before you order, please make sure you look at it. It will definitely affect colors of pen that can be used, etc. It is VERY different than the neutral. I am literally so upset. Can’t believe they did this! So upset!!!

I have used the pen loop in the past. I did not like it. I use a 4 colored thick pen, and it did not fit. It also will not work with a pen that has a grip on it (unless you shove it up in the loop from the top up, instead of tip down). The loop also ripped off the back of my planner with all the times I removed/replaced my pen. If you want to carry (and rarely use) a thin, smooth pen it may work just fine.
