Bro, I swear he looks older when he plays, but then he looks like he is in his 20’s when facing the camera

HIW Alex loool, I like how we have the exact opposites, I see it the way I see it because when he plays he has the wrinkles from the mighty chops !

yes yes I find 1 and 2 the easiest, since I can take a second to read it and then play it. The third one is tough to read note per note.

I can deal with slow etudes (I even enjoy them)but I don’t have much mechanical skill with fast moving etudes so I spend a lot of time slowing the etude down and perfecting it and then very slowly speeding it up but also at the same time playing it slow

Chris Gonzalez update 9 months later, I got a handle and have a better technical skill for quicker pieces of music literature. Practice helps, gotta thank my band director for the encouragement.

Can i ask why you play the way you do? trumpet down? Three fingers holding? It seems improper from what i've been taught. However I play jazz and i mean, it seems your style works for you, im just wondering why.

@@jasondonnellymusic ok, I didn't know that. Seems sort of counter productive. Why play down? Then your sound does into the stand, or into the floor. More muffled. Maby that's what they want. Doesn't seem right to me tho. But like I said, I play jazz

Brass musicians point the horn in a manner that suits the structure of their teeth and jaw. Players with a pronounced overbite will point the horn down.
