2019-2020 Toyota RAV4 Rear Center Trim Removal

This video shows you how to remove rear center trim panel on the 2019-2020 Toyota RAV4. Very easy to do, 8 total screws to remove and they are using 10 millimeter socket.
I'm doing this as part of bigger project in blacking out the grey trim with Carbon Fiber vinyl wrap and you can check out the video below, also at the end screen of this video:

Hi Otto, great helpful video, my number plate is held on by 1 plastic screw now, the back(retaining bolt) of the other screw has fallen down or off and i need to put this back where it was so I can put the screw back in to hold the number plate on properly. Is this easily accessible once all the trim is off? Thank you

Hi Chris, I can’t say we 100% certainty as I didn’t pay attention to the retaining bolt for the license plates when I did this video, but I’m thinking if you open the back trunk panel (the big black one, which I show in their video, should be pretty easy) you should be able to see the retaining bolt. I’m not sure how accessible that is but I’m guessing it should be fairly accessible.

Yes, it’s the same process if you want to remove the tail light assembly that’s on the hatch. I think you need to remove this center trim piece first because in 6:58 of the video, there are clips (two on each side) on the center piece that actually are clipping to the tail light assembly. So I’m pretty sure you need to remove this center trim first then remove the tail light assembly

Is the Toyota emblem held in with two sided tape or us it held in with some kind of fixture?

I can't tell for sure as I haven't opened it yet, but when I remove this rear trim, behind the emblem, I see some sort of small silver round pin on both left and right side.... So it could be held by that small silver round fixture, but I can't tell for sure as I haven't tried to open the rear emblem....

@@GundamDroid hey thanks for sharing! When I look at the pictures, it looks like it’s different compare to the ones I’ve been watching. The LED light doesn’t go all the way to the corner.
