Do you have to rip out the old wiring for the 7 plug?

What? No, this is a T-connection for an existing harness under the bumper. It inserts in between the vehicles harness adapters as shown in the Video.

If your Model and Trim of Ford Ranger has a 4-flat plug already and does not have this existing harness to connect too, then you may need to have a 7-Way Socket and its functionalities, like a Brake Controller, "Hard-Wired" into the Vehicle. Visit your Nearest local U-Haul Hitch center for a free Pre-Tow Inspection.
