Whyyyyyy Audi not add the memory seats ?! In my country we have the fully loaded Tiguan 2.0T with 4Motion which have more convenient feature than Audi Q3.

I've got the Tiguan R line since last year, Went shopping for audi q5 before getting the Tiguan. Tiguan has more inside space then Q5, so a lot more than the Q3. Not a good comp in my book.

Tiguan and Q3 are the same platform. Q5 does not compare.

I understand but still the feeling seated in the q5 feels not as roomy as the new Tiguan. Even the bigger Atlas is based on the same MQB platform as the tiguan. Maybe the rounder shape of the q5 doesn't help either.

Thanks! Great review! A fully loaded Tiguan SEL 4-Motion R-Line stickers around $40K and you get heated/cooled 3-Memory Massage seats and other goodies. This Q3 at $45K does not even have cooled seats that a $25K Hyundai has. The Q3 is not a smart buy. Hold off a few months and the Tiguan will get a more powerful engine, which in my opinion is the only negative with the Tiguan, the gimped engine.

@@NewCarSpin Don't know where your located, but they've had the Rline for about a year now. Even if you compared with a SEL model, would be more adequate of a comparison. I'm an Audi Owner and didn't find this comparison equal.

@@jdawg9481 Yeah, I've had four Audi's. Isn't this still the lengthened wheelbase though? I liked the Tiguan better before they went to the bigger platform. My favorite Audi was an A3 hatchback with the six that they only made a few of. Also had an A6 with a V8 that was fun. Great cruiser.

@@rickmilam413 I love my 2 Audi's. Have a 2016 A4 and a 2003 A4 1.8L. Both magnificent driving machines. Im not a fan of the long wheel base on the tiguan either, but from what Ive read up on, we are soon getting the shorter wheelbase they have overseas soon. Which I think looks Soooooo Good on the tiguan. By the time it gets here though, it might be an electric model though.

You picked the worst VW Tiguan to compare to the Audi... You need to compare it to the VW Tiguan RLine.. So your comparison is an unfair one. Rline has all the bells and whistles the Q3 has and the R line looks better with different front and rear fenders etc.

The inside of the Tiguan, in my opinion, looks NOTHING like the inside of the Q3. My cousin owns a Tiguan and I own a Q3. Trust me, they are VERY different

Torn between this and a Mazda CX 5 Turbo. Each is better in some regards than the other. I'm 6'2" my wife is 5'. Can't believe the Audio doesn't have memory driver's seat. Audi more luxurious, Mazda a bit more responsive. Hmmm. Supposed to be a Christmas present...

A loaded CX-5 has nappa leather awd and nav just like rhe Q3. The new Q3 is not as solid or sporty as the CX-5. If I was going to spend your money, I'd get the Mazda. The Audi has nice features but it's not as sporty as the Mazda. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHvNp2aGmbV_lck

How can you say that the Tiguan was horrible because it is FWD? You do realize that the Q3 uses front wheel drive 99% of the time right? The Quattro system in this particular car is not an all wheel drive system. Also, the Audi Q3 it’s not the cheapest Audi.

The quattro system is not a mechanical full time system, but it will throw power to the rear unlike the fwd system. And vw 4motion is the same setup as audi quattro in the q3. For the US, q3 is the cheapest audi.

It is a nogo to compare a Q3 S-Line with a standard Tiguan instead of a Tiguan R-Line 🙈🤦 The Q3 is the same size as the original Tiguan, which is not available in the USA. The US Tiguan is called Tiguan Allspace in Europe which as you said has the longer wheelbase and way more space. So in terms of size you have to compare your Tiguan with a Q5. And regards prices the Q3 is way more expensive then the Tiguan... Besides the Tiguan European model is way better made and equipped of. That's why it's more expensive in our place...

US tigua is call allspace in other countries. It is the wheel base of q5. You can't compare it to Q3 at all.

They are the same platform, so it's all fair regardless of the trim. Price swings are the important part to see what it could be on both sides of the spectrum.

r line tiguan its very simular q3. both have very nice interier q3 litlebit expensive looking but not for 20 000, exterier is depend of customer. some guys tell vw has better engine than audi in new tsi 140kw 190hp from 2019 same like t roc. your tiguan is bottom line in my country. try to compare with r line, high line.

You obviously like audi better because you compared the lowest version of the tiguan with the highest version of the q3. So you review is crap mate. Compare both models on same year and highest trim for a fair comparison. Tiguan r line is way better btw

Its not only VW that faked the emissions bud many companies are in trouble for it. But that said even though I'm from the UK I'd have a German car before anything from USA.
