Hey, I enjoyed your video. Thanks for the tips. I noticed your locked hitch lever (8:25 mark). You should really lock it in the down, or closed position. Someone can actually back-up to your trailer & pull it away with the hitch latch in the upright position. In the video, it may just have been the way the lock looked, so, no big deal if I saw it incorrectly.

Thanks for the comment. You are correct. Not sure why i had it that way. I usually always leave it locked in the down position. I think i had just moved it there, and decided to make the vid before I finished getting everything put up. Great advice, Thanks

I took a wrench and bent the ears on the trailer just a bit and now the strap buckles fit without hitting the light fixture.

I don't use them straps on my boat trailer don't need to the strap that pulls you in keep your boat on the trailer as long as you have trailer bunks
@GmanfromTexas4 жыл бұрын
Mark Reading is good that your bunks hold your boat. My bunks are so slippery that the boat moves from side to side of I don’t strap it in hard.

My transducer came mounted to the ridge under the bottom right there, one thing I done to mine is bought a DD26 transom saver, I hurt myself and couldn’t hardly stand on my head to use that style which is what they gave me, and not only that it was starting to scratch up my paint!

I put the Fulton retractable tie downs on my tracker txw. All you have to do is bend the tab a little on the trailer and it will give more room.

Did you put an onboard battery charger in there as well? I'm still waiting on my Classic XL to come from Tracker, so I'm doing some pre-planning. I want to add a second six gallon tank or a 12 gallon tank, but I'm not sure if I can make it fit with an onboard charger.
@willysfishingchannel10014 жыл бұрын
I haven't installed a charger yet. I'm going to eventually though. On the tanks one of my 6 gallon tanks is leaking where the fuel line connects so im going to just buy a 12 gallon tank and get rid of the two tank system.

Just an FYI...If you take a hammer and whack the tab a couple times it will move I promise!! I did that to mine on both sides and my boat buckles which are alittle bigger than yours fit with room and it looks alot better too!
@vNmBOSS5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info. Im thinking about doing that.
@superdave5795 жыл бұрын
If you take a hammer and beat that ear back a few times it will straighten out and your boat buckle will fit better, look better and straight, and you won't have to worry about accidently knocking your brake lenses. I did it to mine and you wouldn't even notice I hammered them back unless I told you. If you could post pics here I would and show y'all...

Thanks for the info. I have seen and heard of a few people doing that. I'm not sure i really want to bend that metal, and possibly make it weak?. Maybe I'm over thinking it. It's something I'm still considering though.
@superdave5795 жыл бұрын
@@vNmBOSS totally understand, but I promise you won't hurt it one bit.
@19ADAM804 жыл бұрын
@@vNmBOSS Just get a big adjustable wrench and barely bend them in, about a 1/4” at most, before you do that either use a rag over the bracket or wrap black electrical tape around them so you won’t chip off any paint, be easy because with a 12” adjustable wrench it don’t take much at all to bend them in..

Great video! Thanks for sharing. What cover do you have and how much did it cost?
@willysfishingchannel10015 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The cover was purchased from Academy. Brand is Marine Raider model D Trailerable boat cover for 17-19ft v-hull and runabouts. I think i paid around 50-60 dollars for it. I like it so far. It has adjustable buckle straps to tie it down. Much easier than using rope or bungee cords. Also has an elastic cord sewn around the edges that really helps with fitment.

I've also noticed on my tank cap that if I unscrew the vent my tank still swells up, but if I screw it down like when I'm transporting the boat it doesn't swell...shouldn't that be the other way?! I still on the fence about taking out that ball like you did...guess it couldn't hurt anything.
@vNmBOSS5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. That is odd for sure. Yeah im not a fan of these tanks. Well really the tank itself is fine it's just those caps. That red bulb/valve slides over a stem inside the cap. It just slides right off. Also if you are careful when you pull it out you can always reinstall it later if you change your mind. The first one i removed tore because i didn't have the pliers down over it enough, but the second one didn't. After that tank spit out gas into the back of my suv, and in my boat i had to do something about it. Now it works normal no more swelling and spewing gas out.

One of the spots we go fishing at is around a 40-45 min boat ride one way and both times we have went there we had maybe a quarter of an inch left in the 6gal tank. Now keep in mind we were running wide open straight there and back. If all of your fishing spots are close together and not to far out 6gal will be plenty for most people.
