owned our luxury (base) level XT4 for 8 months now. We love it! Great power on highway and street, great blend between luxury and sport ride quality, and good size back seat and trunk. Down sides: the base model doesnt have seat memory (sucks with a short wife), the doors don't make a nice sound when they close (I think its the side mirrors rattling, that shouldnt happen in a luxury car). Other than that. I love my XT4 and highly recommend.

Really the only thing distinct is the body panels, lights and seating. We did this to save money. Oh yea and we even used the shytty radio out of a new, Ford Escape. Pretty nice looking vehicle but that price tag is going to be tough. Opting out of AWD may save enough for the average consumer but many need AWD. However, no AWD means less weight and based on the powertrain will get good power-to-weight ratio similar to XC40. I would get the XT4 for power, size, decent fuel economy, and comfort for the price. The competition is really heating up. UX is coming into the picture soon too.

Do NOT confuse this with Escalade in any way. Puny engine, belt line too high, Back end should be squared off for more room with a 2 piece tailgate. I just test drove new XT4 today. It feels much better than XT5, seriously great peppy engine, great acceleration. Much better interior quality, decent optional Bose system, although it could've been better. Excellent infotainment system, touch screen is clear and responsive like iPhone. Where it lacks: terrible body roll while cornering (at least without upgraded suspension), rear legroom is average at best, rear seats are garbage - backs are too upright, no one can relax there or stay comfortable. Driver's right knee is rubbing the plastic trim of the center console, if you are 6 foot or taller, it will be a problem. Stock audio system is junk, it sounds like something from Chevy Cruze. Overall: good try Cadillac, but competition is way better. New RAV4 is going to be way better and much cheaper too

I love the look of this Cadillac with some exceptions. It looks great from the front and the back mostly. In the video that guy says they paid "extreme attention to detail" yet if you look at the entire bottom of the front it is a cheap grey plastic just looked at one today. I was so disappointed this is supposed to be a luxury vehicle but little details like that make it look cheap. All they had to do was paint it same as the rest gloss black and it would look way better. Another thing that shocked me was how small this looks in person It looks tiny. Even other small vehicles some how appear to look bigger. Don't ask me how they just do. The interior while small is very nice I love the little extra details inside. I am still considering this vehicle but not sure the plastic in the front is such a disappointment. You have to see it in person to understand it reminds me of 2006 Chevrolet Equinox

That MAGIC 30 mpg HIGHWAY... HOLY CRAP $20,000 difference between the base and premium model... I thought this thing was going to actually be competitive. lol

American automakers are so late in the automotive game. It was already said that Cadillac was late to the compact crossover craze, and now they're even more late in the subcompact segment with Lexus having just released their UX crossover...

Why bother with a cylinder reduction on a 4 cyl…? Nice style and size. Mini Utes are a hit in USA. Price is of course too high. Thanks

It'll be too reliable without cylinder deactivation

I love the design but I am not sure if it's worth the price.

x3 gets 30+ mpg with more power without and cylinder deactivation and more fun to drive!

Looks great, could work in Europe. If they keep the price competitive, and build quality high

This doesn't look like a baby Escalade to me at all. It looks exactly like their old crossover SUVs. And also, no mention of its American direct competitor the Lincoln MKC?

I simply hate that very low lip on the front bumper that GM uses on all his SUV. On a ramp or light off-road it will always break it. Anyway I prefer the Volvo XC40

The gray plastic on the front bumper looks part bin

You really don't know why that's there? Not to purposely aggravate U, but as an aerodynamic enhancement to smooth underbody air flow. That results in higher highway mpg's. Perhaps U should negotiate your driveway entries/exits more caringly?

Coupydog at this point I rather get a sedan. Like this I can’t even go camping...
