@@maurizioarrivabene8182 Well, they had a strategy in quali that certainly worked out well. They realized in free practise that the car gets better and better with each round and its best to give them more fuel and let them do several rounds in quali aswell and it ended up to be pretty good. Also while they went with mediums in second quali, they had enough pace to be safe this time unlike Verstappen who first had bad luck with traffic and then got his last sprint on softs ended by red flag, while Gasly has been on softs all the time. But youre right, cant do much wrong in the race, as both mercedes and ferrari will probably do a single stop from mediums to hards and skip the hated softs, except for maybe a final sprint for the fastest lap. We will see if they fuck up this single task somehow.

What it's sad is that this is supposed to be the pinnacle of motorsport, so one would expect more teams to be closer in performance and sadly there are teams out there 3 sec/lap slower. That's the pathetic bit i would like solved, not the bullshit rules and regulations being artificially made up, but more engineers coming up with solutions for the other 7 teams. The sport is so money driven that is not fair to the common f1 fan, midfield teams cannot afford to fight the "development game" as well as the front running teams and that's where the real problem lies.

Its not a struggling midfield car in Canada and add in equation that RB is struggling in Canada and you got that situation when Renault and McLaren(yes I think it is engine related) are at top of midfield whilst RB starts to sink into midfield. But yeah - Verstappen would be ahead and Gasly is not particularly shining at RB
