Jeff, Not only do I now feel that I have actually driven a 2019 Corolla SE hatch but I also feel like I have visited North Carolina. That's quite an accomplishment in one video. Although I would definitely pick the 6 speed manual , it is very impressive that the automatic version only revs around 1,300 @ 50 mph. No wonder it gets such terrific mileage.

Thanks for the great review, I did test drive the new one and it was a great driving car, those who say it's too slow if you put it in sport mode it seems quite quick, and this is someone who has a supercharged Jaguar V8 as a daily driver. I had a rental 2017 Corolla and it saved my butt with the automatic braking when I wasn't paying attention one night and I vowed to never drive another car without these systems. I would have rear-ended another driver at 35 miles an hour and it would have been a life-changing event...

Very nice car Jeff. We have the 2017 IM and love it. One question, notice in your comparison of the SE & XSE that the SE did not have an under hood silence/rood noise pad but the XSE did. Is this normal or do you think makes a difference in quietness?

rbielarski you’re exactly right! The XSE has extra soundproofing that the SE doesn’t have. I drove both extensively and I didn’t notice much difference on highway and city

White, black and red gauges in this SE trim are the best plus the lcd on the side. Honda and Hyundai do offer standard touch screen display with car play and android auto. This car will be a hit with the younger crowd because of the sporty looks, NA 2.0l engine and potential of modding it for like 300hp! Another great review Jeff.

David Santiago haven't heard anywhere, it's obvious. Turbocharger/supercharger plus tune and the engine will produce 200+ hp.

Brian Denver that just if you put into D shift drive, there is M shift drive you can switch to the left, if you interested you can check out from local dealer.
