Nice Corolla... My 1st car was a 1977 Toyota Corolla with a 5-speed manual with no air-conditioning, I did have rear window defroster and an am/FM radio with no cassette! I did have 3-peice chrome wire wheel hub caps. I was 18 yrs old at that time and that's all I could afford! Great little car 34-miles per gallon.i drove it across the USA 5- times. I think I'm going to make my last car in life, this Toyota hatchback or one like it. I'm 56- yrs old now!...😵

Thanks for this very detailed review. I like how you went over how the functions work like the E-brake. I'm going from driving a 1991 Corolla to looking into the 2020 or 2019 model (if any are left for cheaper) hatchback and this car is amazing!!! I love the sporty look and feel of this car.

That's pretty impressive horsepower (168) for a small car. 2 less than my Nissan Rogue. I personally like it if I knew I could get in it (I'm Old). I'd say it would last a very long time. The dual fuel injection is a plus because the intake valves will remain clean from carbon build-up Great review Mike as always!

I'm used to your pointer by now but it cracked me up when you pressed the push button start. I was turned off the look of this hatch compared to the Matrix which was around for a while. But I've seen other men over 50 driving this thing so maybe I could get used to it; for me it's preferable over the sedan. No Android Auto is a problem though. I'd have to vent mount my phone on the left and run the cable, I use Google Maps all the time when I drive.

@huehuehue-x3c5 жыл бұрын
It's not a sports car..it's a commuter car. If they gave it a turbo, it wouldn't get 40 MPG on the highway and 30 around town. It would also cost much more. If you want a turbo 4 door, get a WRX or GTI.
@candibcgirl5 жыл бұрын
I absolutely love it but if you put up the driver's seat you will find that if you're in an accident your forehead would hit the front and probably snap your neck sitting in the back not much legroom horrible for a tall person wish the hatchback part was deeper or higher otherwise they'll complaints drives nicely and quiet And over 650 km on a fill-up is amazing

Nice car, like the styling, tho that is subjective i know. It is not overwrought like hondas and other japanese manufacturers. A few more horses would be nice, say about 175 to 180 but more importantly higher torque delivered at a lower rpm would be beneficial. For me tho, no sun roof is a deal breaker. Why, in designing a new vehicle , did toyota leave out the popular sun roof, even as an option? In Australia and other markets, more than two varieties are available such as a hybrid,,,why not here? I need a place to stash my trash.
