At around 45 minutes, review, USA capsizes, while China NEARLY does the same. China released their main- sheet BIGLY and recovers. USA released their sheet a bit and capsizes. SHAME to the commentators, who do not mention this at that time. From now on, I shall try to take your comments as background noise. Up to 45.36, my opinion may change.

Actually if you watch what happened the sheet trimmer fell out of the cockpit and held himself from falling by holding the rope that he actually needed to release. He needed to climb back up into his position therefore releasing the pressure of the weight of his body on the rope and then he was able to release the rope from the winch. So he did not release the sheet as you so knowingly stated.

boats that go 50 knots... races boring as hell

These boats are turning out to be extremely boring to watch. The first reach leg makes no sense whatsoever. Why not have a proper weather leg to start the race? The boats seem almost totally unaffected by the wing wash from other boats. Tactics play almost no part, as its all about who can fly better. Literally no viewer/ fan can relate to anything these guys are doing because the boats are unlike anything we have or ever expect to sail. It all seems to be a PR product to get people excited that have never raced sailboats. Its like Nascar on water.

@@rolson6775 so you call GB sitting on JPN's hip and then rolling them not tactical?! of course in heavy winds it becomes more charging around the course in any boat because you don't need to find more pressure. In fact, trying to get in a gust is normally detrimental, resulting in a capsize.
