@chrisfreemesser5 жыл бұрын
They're wood...I actually bowl league on wood lanes that are nearly 80 years old. You can't judge dryness of the lane based on appearance...keep in mind they have a urethane coating on them (like furniture) that gives them a glossy appearance even with zero oil on the surface. When the heads get black like these lanes though, the finish has worn off and the lanes need to be sanded down and refinished.
@bachcottage-ck8tl5 жыл бұрын
@@relaxingismygame3876 It seems as if the lanes changed fast. Chris was getting some high hits and high flushes on his strikes for his first game. When going against belmo, Chris's ball seemed to be deflecting and not going through right, and he was leaving more corner pins
@relaxingismygame38765 жыл бұрын

Why are they throwing at such low speeds if the lanes tend to be grippy?
@DeanMcCain5 жыл бұрын
Pozzaa90 the lanes might be, as you put it, grippy, but the oil and volume of oil on the lanes require you to bowl with slower speeds. Also, like Belmo, the further left (or right for lefties) you go, the slower your ball speed has to be. If it’s too fast, it will go through your breakpoint.
@manofariley63615 жыл бұрын
Am I the only one annoyed by the close-up camera on the pin deck? I would like to see them use that angle for re-plays. But not every single live shot. Trying to track the ball down the lane, trying to pay attention to entry angle - then BOOM, camera cut, all perspective is lost and we only see the end result. I'm only into the 7th frame of the first match and it is every single shot, including spares. Not sure i'm going to be able to watch much more.

If he made that he would have had 225. No guarantee Belmo still throws 6 on that fill ball in the 10th but yea, going on raw scores, an open frame in title games cost Jakob 3 PBA titles that year (Hall of Fame tournament, World Championship and this Japan invitational). Hell one of the titles he did win that year he had an open frame, but he had 11 strikes so it made up for it lol (and Jesper leaving a couple splits helped heh). This isn't me being critical. Jakob could bowl circles around me all day long 😄 just an observation I'm pointing out.
