The crazy part about this was, and even the announcers touched on it, is that they didn't hand place the pin back where it was. If they had, he would've picked this up.

@@cjunsen667 As long as the pins are standing, you have to pick it up. There were instances where the machine recognizes a strike but a pin hit the wall and stood back up. So by the rule, it's only a 9

Chong Jun Sen what should’ve happened is respotting pins as they were. Butteruff got screwed there and took it on the chin. I have to assume he couldn’t challenge that spot cause it was wayyyy off how he actually left the deck

Belmo literally changed the entire sport, elevated it and influenced an entire generation of bowlers. It’s insane to see a competitive youth tournament these days...a super high percentage are all 2 handed, messenger throwing monsters! And other than an instance or 2 earlier in his career, has been 100% class! PBA is now on FOX. Thanks Belmo. Storm bowling considered the cream of the crop. Thx Belmo. Completely changed how bowlers think about approaching the game. Thx Belmo! Dude flat out changed a sport that needed change all at the right time

@@ChrisPBacon9 That's not even the case, if you paid any attention at all Jakob, he's double-jointed so that's the reason why he approaches the line like that. In the sport of bowling, it doesn't matter how you bowl or what style you have, as long as it's comfortable for you and you can knock down 10 pins through the 1-3 or if left-handed 1-2 pocket, then don't judge how people bowl

Unfortunately by USBC rule and I'm guessing PBA also uses the same rule if a pin setter knocks a pin down it has to be placed back to its original spot. In this particular case it was really was a major penalty because the 6 pin also moved to the right but the pin setter did pick it up and put down back off set to the right, but knocked the 5 pin down, thus making the split too wide for the ball to fit in between like it normally could on a 5-6. Sometimes you get lucky on off set pins and the pin setter will just hit the top of them, stop and then just go back up without moving them or knocking them over and then just any deadwood that remained in the deck area would have to be cleared manually by someone before you shoot the spare. This was just a case of double bad luck.

He’s modified the release which is great to get more revs now he’s captured another level in bowling another class. Just like when a baseball pitcher uses rozen on the baseball but that’s not allowed but he can throw the ball better. Now there should be two divisions single hand bowlers and double handed bowlers ......maybe? Lol

The thing that made this sweeter is all the ridicule he took from fellow legends at first like Walter Ray and others who were demonizing his two handed style saying it will destroy the sport for years when its actually helped revive the sport when its been at its lowest. aiden whitehead a lot of it has to do with his style. Some of it has to do with the fact that they’re jealous that he has “stolen” the spotlight these last few years. There are also some who feel he’s arrogant. I disagree with all the haters. He’s not arrogant, he believes that he’s the best in the world and does his best to live up to his expectations

Whenever I see a one-handed Stroker competing and winning a PBA event, I feel a small victory. I assume watching Belmonte competing and winning makes you feel good. There is a bowler and style for everyone.

Oceania I think he is asking why they moved the pins on one of Butturf’s shots. Tyler Garret if they didn’t move the pins (a process called respotting) it would make some spares way too difficult to pick up. In my league there are times where I have seen people call in and have the house respot a certain pin because it got moved or it got knocked down by the pin setter.
