The new model introduces a stylish new front-end appearance featuring a five-bar Tourneo grille, combined with slimmer headlamps and a more aerodynamic lower fascia and front spoiler. Both the five-seat Tourneo Connect and the seven-seat Grand Tourneo Connect feature an upgraded interior with a floating, tablet-inspired 6-inch colour touchscreen on high series models, featuring Ford’s SYNC 3 communications and entertainment system.
Advanced technologies include a comprehensive new range of segment-first driver assistance features including Intelligent Speed Assist, Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Side Wind Stabilisation and Active Park Assist. A state-of-the-art new powertrain line-up provides enhanced fuel-efficiency, with Ford’s all-new 1.5-litre EcoBlue diesel engine - with optional eight-speed automatic transmission - and an advanced new version of the 1.0litre EcoBoost petrol engine with cylinder deactivation.
The new Ford Tourneo Connect introduces a stylish new front-end appearance featuring a five-bar Tourneo grille mounted higher on the vehicle, combined with slimmer headlamps - with powerful HID Xenon lamps and LED daytime running lights available on high series models - and a more aerodynamic lower fascia and front spoiler.
Both the five-seat Tourneo Connect and the seven-seat Grand Tourneo Connect feature an upgraded interior with stylish and hard-wearing new trim materials. A revised instrument panel has a new central control area that incorporates a floating, tablet-inspired 6-inch colour touchscreen on high series models, featuring Ford’s SYNC 3 communications and entertainment system.
Further advanced technologies include a comprehensive new range of segment-first driver assistance features including Intelligent Speed Assist that enables automatic adjustment of maximum vehicle speed to remain within legal limits, the Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection emergency braking system, Side Wind Stabilisation, and Active Park Assist that helps to steer the vehicle into both parallel and perpendicular parking spaces.
A state-of-the-art new powertrain line-up provides enhanced fuel-efficiency,* while achieving Euro 6.2 emissions standards. Ford’s all-new 1.5-litre EcoBlue diesel engine combines the latest fuel injection, turbocharging and emission-control technologies with a low-friction engine design to deliver improved performance alongside reduced fuel-consumption for the Tourneo Connect and Grand Tourneo Connect.
The new Tourneo Connect also offers an advanced new version of the multi-award-winning 1.0litre EcoBoost engine, which incorporates significant changes to the cylinder head, fuel injection and emission-control systems to provide further improvements in fuel-efficiency. New technologies also include cylinder deactivation, which enables the engine to run on two cylinders at low loads, to reduce pumping losses and improve fuel-efficiency.
An upgraded six-speed manual transmission is now fitted to all engines as standard. The 1.5litre EcoBlue engine can also be specified with an advanced new eight-speed automatic transmission, which has been engineered to deliver optimised fuel-efficiency alongside responsive performance and smooth, swift gearshifts.
The two Tourneo Connect models continue to offer outstanding flexibility from versatile seating, generous stowage and dual sliding side doors. The Tourneo Connect has clever 60/40 split rear seats that can be folded flat and tumbled forward, or removed to provide 2,410 litres space behind the front seats. The Grand Tourneo Connect offers rear seating that folds quickly and easily into a flat, unobstructed luggage platform with 2,620 litres of space, and third row seats slide fore and aft for added versatility.

We have the titanium, manual version. Excellent vehicle. It drives and rides like a big, solid, luxury family saloon. It is very quiet and returns 50mpg easily on a steady run. Access is perfect for two small children plus dog and holiday packing is easy. Multiple power outlets are spaced around the cabin mean 12volt power is available to all seats and boot space. Overall this vehicle exceed our expectations and we would recommend it to anyone needing plenty of space without comprise.

I have a 2014 Transit Connect, and overall I am happy. The engine feels weak, and the front doors sound hollow/tinny, clanky when slammed shut, and the font sun visors have weak hinges that don't work properly, but overall it's OK. I was expecting better fuel mileage with it being a 4-cylinder, but I end up averaging 23 to 24 mpg overall. The suspension is good, and can get loaded up without squatting.

Extremely big automatic transmission handle is still at the middle? But, Ford, we have XXI century, and no more AT handle in cars. Why they did not replaced it with some small, smart controls like in other cars? Users would get extra space instead of useless AT handle.

Up until 2:20 the steering wheel is displayed on the left side making one believe the van is a USA model. However, at 2:21 the steering wheel is displayed on the right side , making it a European model. Then at 2:40 the steering wheel is switched back to the left side. At 3:15 the steering wheel is switched back to the right side. Then at 3:58 the steering wheel is again back to the left side. Which is it? USA or European. Or is this going to be sold in both the USA and Europe?
