2019 Gravely Pro-Turn ZX 52 First Impression. What's going on guys Blake Hawthorn it's HIS turf. Today I picked up my Gravely Pro-Turn ZX 52 inch mower. This mower I'm going to be demoing for the next hundred hours. Today's video is going to be my first impressions on it. I've got a very overgrown Zoysia lawn that is thick tall and hilly so let's see how it handles.
Alright guys, well, that was my first time mowing with the gravely ZX 52, and I like it, I really like the shoot blocker that came on at this. It is a side gravely brand discharger. It is really nice, you just stick your fingers right here into those grooves, then your palm goes on there is pushed down, and then pull it up when you want to side discharge, push it down when you want a mulch so that was pretty neat how it cut that off. I'm going to finish on this hill and stuff and then we're going to jump over here see how it does on that hill that hopefully, I don't end up in my trailer. But let's get to it. Alright guys, we just finished up the lawn and this was my first impressions my one hour on the ZX 52 by Gravely, and something that I really liked about this machine is this mulch blade., I really liked this mulch blade because it's so easy to operate, literally just put your hand on here pushing down can raise up the shoot, lower the shoot as you're going right nice mode up around the flower beds itself that's my first time ever using one of those that I really liked greatly engineering on that.
As far as the machine compared to my Gravely 260 that we had, my Gravely pro turn 152, and my Gravely HD 60, you can see it's a good combination of the HD 60, and the pro-turn 152, but for a low-end commercial unit, it is a great zero turn mower.
Being one hour into it, I don't see any reason why I should spend the extra $1000 to $1500 to go to the Gravely Pro-turn 152. Besides of the seat. This is just a standard it doesn't have air flow or the suspension ride. But other than that, as far as handling wise, we got on some pretty steep hills today, it did really good. Cut quality was great, we were able to do one pass on a lot of the lawn.
The ride handling the hills was great. Like I said, besides getting a few upgrades with air ride see suspension stuff like that. I don't see any reason and upgrading from this machine to those other units.

Congratulations, I’ve got a Gravely ZTR purchased in 1997. Very very few issues over the years. Electric Clutch went out 2nd day I owned it. Replaced under warranty. Seat safety switch died after about 15 years. I think I’m on my 3rd belt by now, and half a dozen sets of blades. That’s it, it never breaks... if I wash her and shine her up a bit. Most people would believe she’s only a couple years old lol. No rust, seat looks nearly new. I do wish mine had the side chute controls like that one, that’s pretty slick. All said, it’s probably the best money I’ve ever spent on anything.

My wife and I both spent a few days researching on what the best zero turn was for around $3,000. We went to 4 different dealers trying other brands. We both decided that the Gravely ZTX 52 with the Kawasaki is the best built mower out there in our opinion. It should last us years!

i bought mine two weeks ago is a good mower i have a 52 in with a 23hp Kawasaki it will move at about 8mph ,14ga deck heavy duty deck. hydraulics are sorta sensitive you half get use to operating it slow.

Hey, I have been looking at the gravily zx52 pro turns and also kubota z421 mowers. I really like both, but have never owned either. The zx52 has a hydro gear 3200 and the kubota has a hydro 3600 trans. I like the heavier trans better, but my question is do I really need it? I'm leaning toward the zx52. I have 4.5 acres to cut every two weeks in summer. All pretty much flat land, no slopes. I keep my stuff clean and serviced and put indoors year round. The main concern is how long will it last? Can you give me some advice/direction on either?

I just purchased the ariens apex 52 which is essentially the gravely hd. Is the zx the same machine just with 3200 hydros and the fx kawasaki as an upgrade? Im no professional but I can really geek out over machines. Im a professional mechanic and I usually purchase things that are well built and fully serviceable. I keep things long term and service them. I do wish I had the fx kawasaki but it may have been overkill for my 1 acre lot.

@@itshisturf23 I'm mowing about 2 acres, slightly hilly, is this the right model for me, or one up or down? I'm not really looking for bigger than a 54" deck. Do you like Gravely more than other brands of commercial mowers? I want to buy a commercial grade so it can be the last one I ever buy.

@@mabdman2140 this one would be great. It entry level commercial. My recommendation on brand would be dealer support. If you have a good local gravely dealer then it should be great. I have one machine with over 4000 hrs on it

Have a pro Z 52" love it cuts fast and flat smooth controls and its a tough lawnmower . Had hustler before hands down better mower. There are alot of people that need to find GOD between race, gender and family values its getting very tough out here.

@@yaakovN1983 they had a good deal on the pro z gravely had the raptor hustler 52" had Kohler 19 don't know about the upper line hustler but the gravely seems more heavy duty and cuts better.Have the gravely engine seems good 26 hp cuts thick grass good . You can get Kohler or Kawasaki but cost more seems like I paid 5,200 which I got 2, 500 for my hustler was 2 years old. The gravely has a three year warranty on the blade spindles. In south Ga. the gravely has taken over in my area.

@@yaakovN1983 find a dealer close that has a great reputation get in good with them will save your butt when you need something see what they carry if something goes wrong most will loan you a mower till they fix yours if not move you through the line faster. Good luck

I just bought a Gravely ZT XL 52. Not the King of the hill by any means. I hope I have good luck with it. I am so happy with your starting with how one should be prepared. Without Jesus Christ we are lost and will suffer eternal damnation. This is because of Adam and Eve. The Lord God sent his son to pay the tax for the sinners through his blood and suffering on the cross. That is our way to salvation. Ask for forgiveness, Believe in your heart he gave his life for your salvation, Admit that you are a sinner and a lost soul, and without his grace and love are nothing. Be baptized in Jesus' name. You must be born again through water. You cant get into heaven with a test score of 98. It has to be all or nothing. Keep preaching the word. It says in the good book. Only time I want a sit down is when I'm mowing for my town. My private business I use a stander. Lighter, your ass sweat drys, it's better in everyway unless your riding for hours at a time.
