2019 Harley Davidson lowrider review.
The weather conditions were awful! But I finally managed to get my hands on the Lowrider. Let me know what you guys think of the 2019 Softail Lowrider.

I have a 2018 lowrider, the seat and bars had to go. I put 14 inch apes on her and a new seat and I'm very happy. Great lookin bike btw.

@@stevewilliamson9664 Yesterday I went to my local HD dealer and started from the the bottom of the range (the Softail Standard) and felt the the Low Rider was good value compared to a Standard or Street Bob, mainly because the LR had a decent seat, nice looking bars, and the 70s homage styling. Maybe one day I'll have a test ride on one!

I agree with and you on your assessment. I want to see a Lowrider S with either the 114 or 117 for sure. The original Lowrider S is going to be a cult classic for HD. Also go back to the double disc brakes upfront and they would have a winner!

I'm in that contingent that loves the blacked out/murdered out look but bought an Ultra Classic that is chromed. I'd always had chromed Harleys but the Street Glide/Road Glide didn't meet my needs and one of them was cornering clearance. I believe the Low Rider has a better ground clearance than the other Softails and that larger fuel tank is nice. So yeah I agree, they should offer a blacked out Low Rider. I do feel lucky to get the Ultra before Harley 86'd it from the lineup... If it were Blacked out and didn't have the infotainment system it would be perfect.

I know i’m in the very many minority but i actually love how harleys sound stock. The aftermarket are just too load and obnoxious to my liking.

I kept my stock mufflers on my 2018 fxlr until I got run into by a cager. Yanked those mufflers off.

I'm in the "gray" area between the stock sound (which I like for highway cruising) and a certain type of aftermarket. I definitely do NOT like very loud pipes. I tried a few styles of slip-ons including drilling a big hole in the blank in the front of the stock baffle (sounded like a jackhammer) and all but one of them was too loud. The winner was the Rush slip-ons with the smallest baffles which gave me a very deep rumble WITHOUT the extreme volume. This is perfect for back road, two-lane cruising in the twisties. I switch back and forth between stock and Rush according to my mood.

i agree - the low rider twin stack pipes sound good enough , if i was to modify - i would cut out baffles and make a few more slots in the insert and put back , - then get an end cap made up to tidy cuts and leave the overall look .

Unless you ride exceptionally hard, dual disc make little difference on these bikes.

Nice looking bike, love the the back light/ number plate(just needs a smaller one) pure H-D. Better blacked out as Laidlaws done but would cost too much.

Really like the LowRider. Reminds me of a 70s bike and I dig it. Not a fan of the Milwaukee 8 tho. Good torque sure, but with so much less shake at idle (especially when it's in a Softail) it feels like a metric bike. Doesn't sound like a Harley either, but to each their own. Solid review. Wish the weather was better for you. Ride safe man...

Well I broke down and ended up buying a 2020 Low Rider S with about 500 miles on the odometer. Awesome motorcycle. Best Harley I have rode yet. Does every thing right. I still like the possibility of getting the 2022 Yamaha XSR 900 for what it is. But love the Low Rider S. The only major change I plan on making to it are the handle bars. Maybe switching to the ones used on the regular Low Rider for comfort. just saying .

Great platform for a nice customization, you never know what HD might do next, the Low Rider S like you had was a hell of a good seller for them. Pity they don't do a 114 in the Low Rider 👍😎🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Hate the rear light and number plate,side mount and integrated tail,brake,and indicators would look much cleaner. If this is done as an upgrade I bet it would cost a fortune. They need to do an "S" all blacked out with some drag bars!

I put a saddlemen explorer seat, harley wind splitter windshield and V&H twin slash mufflers on. best Harley out of the 4 I've owned.

80sruler.....Me too. Ride an 04 Low Rider with the 88in twin cam. Wish it had the soft tail suspension though. Pretty happy with it.

Number plate and rear light are a big let down. +1 on the Low Rider S version though. I wonder why they haven't made one? Laidlaws have made a replica.

I have this same bike in this same color. After a while though, my arms gets tired because of the downward angle of the stock handlebars, I find myself fighting against gravity.

ride a 2018 M8 lowrider 107, very poor rear brake, front fender waste of time riding in the rain, also in the rain water is sprayed directly onto the battery and electrics and shock,from the gap in the rear fender, definately one for dry riding only.

KZbin takes about 10 minutes from upload to hit that 1080 crispy look. Also make sure you select 1080 on the device you're using otherwise it will set a lower rate to support your internet speed 👍

I have a 2015 Harely Super Low 1200T. I would not buy another Harely (new or used). Do not get me wrong I like the HD 1200T I own but it just is not as much fun as the 2016 Motto Guzzi V7 Stone that I also own. If I were to purchase another bike at this time it would be most likely the new 2019 Triumph Speed Twin and/or the 2019 Motto Guzzi V85TT. IMO the 2019 Motto Guzzi Eldorado is a much better choice than the 2019 Harely Low Rider.

Poor review. As an owner, let me tell you the crappy things which you should have easily picked up on, but failed to do so. First, those handlebars. They suck! Most owners I know have swapped them out. Same for me. I'm 5'8", when I test rode the bike I could not reach to full-lock with the stock handlebars in order to do a full-lock U-turn. Swapped them out for HD Street Slammers - now everything works properly and your wrists are not in an awkward position. Secondly, you won't be keeping the stock seat (as you seem to suggest) if you want your partner/wife to come along on rides. After just 3 minutes, my wife (who has ridden many a long day on the saddle with me, but on other bikes) said that if I want her to come along on rides the uncomfortable seat has to go. Just look at the passenger part of the seat, it narrow out and slants backward with the rear mud guard - another HD part designed for looks instead of function (and means of clawing more money from customers). Stock seat replaced with HD Sundowner - now happy wife, happy life. Apart from that, the FXLR has plenty of acceleration and torque and lean angle for those folk who like spirited riding. And for those folk who like to cruise on major highways/roads, the FXLR does not come with cruise control, but is available as a optional extra, and totally worth having.
