Did some upgrades on my Harley. Vance & Hines shortshots exhaust pipes, Roland Sands Design air cleaner, and a Fuelpak

Hey did you have any tuning issues when you put on the stage 1?

@snuffspoon No issues here. We did the exhaust, air filter, and added a Fuelpak. You download the app, let your phone connect to it, select the parts added, and it downloaded a tune right to the bike.

@@Demoncloak89 I bought my 883 second hand and it had about 4k miles on it. For some reason I keep getting codes about my O2 sensor and that Im running rich but Im not seeing anything that would indicate that Im actually running rich. Cant seem to tune my bike right

Were you worried about voiding the warranty when you installed the FP3? I’ve been debating doing the exact same mods as you?

Me and my father are mechanics and he's worked on Harleys for years. We do the work ourselves, but if it would void the warranty, then it's a risk I took. I trust it and know I'll maintain it so I'm personally not too worried if that's the case

Demoncloak I’m not a mechanic by any means, I have the same bike that I just got and I want to do the same stage 1 upgrades but I doubt I could diagnose and fix any major problems with the bike if it came to it. Your bike sounds really nice.

@@MShadows239 That's your call. As far as what voids the warranty and what doesn't, perhaps reading into it more is the best bet to be sure. I already knew what I wanted to do, whether it voided it or not because I knew I'd be working on it myself most of the time.

Why engine so noise?

Aftermarket exhaust pipes. Much shorter with only baffles in the pipes to quiet them. I love the roar of the engine, like a tiger on wheels!
