2019 Honda CB500F Review and Test Ride once a pleasant surprise as I did not expect to have as much fun and thrills from the street bike. It is a fantastic street bike that delivers plenty power, good looks and quality. A comfortable everyday commuter that will allow for some serious weekend fun. The CB500F twin parallel liquid cooled engine does not disappoint and with its smooth power delivery with enough engine roar to turn heads. I love it, well done Honda! Enjoy the video!

Honda revised the exhaust system with thicker diameter primary tubes, cylindrical catalyst, and dual exhaust. The tires are also sportier with a smaller sidewall for greater lean angle. Total weight is reduced 5lbs. Tank size is also reduced for better inseam space.

Nice bike...and thanks for the interesting review! =) Although at 0:50...this model just has 41mm 'Telescopic' forks - and not the 'Upside-Down' type.

I have this bike in black, I agree with most of the review, one thing I notice is from 1st gear to 2nd it can be a bit clunky, however it doesn't happen all the time but when it does it's kind of annoying. Just wondering if the reviewer had it too? Mines only done 1000 miles so I'm hoping it'll improve. Apart from that, clutch is feather light, and has a good exhaust sound as standard. Fuel economy depends on how you ride it but have done 93mpg, typically at least 70mpg so very good. Let me just say that it's not a fast bike, but not too slow either, some would say it's not as fast as the MT03 or Kawa 400 but the big difference is the torque of the 471cc, this bike will tackle any hill in 6th like easily.

Jeremy Cubs to be honest I was actually very surprised that I did not get the standard clunky neutral into 1st gear and smooth engagement on others. I only rode it for the test but did not notice anything unusual. I agree with the torque and power for the bike and engine. Cheers

@@0to100Adventure Hi, the funny thing is when I test rode the 2017 model as the test bike from Honda I don't remember it being that cluncky, maybe because I didn't pay much attention to it only rode it for about 30 minutes so.. Ive done my full bike training on MT-07 and it was clunky I remember. Maybe it's just normal think I'll mention it to Honda on my next service. Ride safe mate 👍

I have this bike in the 2016 model and have just over 5,000 miles on it now. The clunky shift between 1st and 2nd gear is still with me. I've tried all sorts of different clutch techniques but it's just notchy between those gears. Besides that, the only other complaint I have on the bike is the lack of a gear indicator. They say the newer 500Fs have fixed the notchy transmission some and have added a gear indicator. This reviewer sure liked the shifting on this video. Overall I love the bike. I've added a Givi windshield (really awesome) and Givi 40 liter top box. Also added a 25 liter Nelson-Rigg magnetic tank bag. It's just a great bike and I'm smiling when I ride it. The fact that it cost about $5K new, cost me $125/year to insure, gets 70+ mpg and that I can do all the maintenance isn't half bad either. Fuel mileage drops down into the upper 50s on the interstate, though.

@@marknussbaum8394 Hi mate, miner's 2019 so its got gear indicator but to be honest I could live without it, maybe coz I'm used to ride bikes without one over the years. Just been out on a very windy day yesterday and the heavy weight of this thing does help to keep you from being blown over lol, yeah on higher speeds can sip more fuel than Id expected. But overall its a solid bike and I'm keeping mine for a while.

i can see on the dashboard the mileage for this bike is roughly 3l/100km...is that the average also?

Bourne Toulouss yes that is correct, depending on how you ride I would say you would manage around 3.5l/100

it is a nice bike, but in my country its price is too high (about 500 EUR less than Yamaha mt07, which is a much better and stronger machine) - that is retail, at the dealer (used almost don't exist). makes no sense.
