I want one so much, but at 76+ y/o, my back and heart won’t let me do it.But, I can say, the Koreans are making great strides in transportation means.Somewhere back in the minds of someone there, this idea(hyosung) was put into motion, just like Honda did in the sixties.I expect bigger things in their future. Unless Biden/Harris decide to pull the rug out from under their country!

Too bad you can't ride it. They have made a 300cc version too (not that it would be better for your back and heart, but it has a bit more power). The older Hyosung Aquila 650 looks good too! Hyosung has also made parts for Suzuki in the past so they know what they are doing. I don't think Biden would have a problem with South Korea.

@shaggy Have you ever checked any of the figures you gave for any of the 125's you mentioned against gps, rather than speedometer, which are designed to be at least 5% optimistic? I ask, because this V twin 125 here, is 14.5 bhp, right on the legal limit, & the rev limiter. I'm extremely sceptical about any claims for 125 (4 strokes) exceeding 70 on the dead level with no tail wind & no laying on the tank. Aerodynamics vary of course from bike to bike or scooter, & any bike with a fairing has a huge advantage over nakeds, especially when engines of sub 50 hp, let alone 15 bhp are concerned. I once had a Z200cc Kawasaki 4 stroke air cooled single, rated at 18 bhp @9000. I could never get it to exceed 70 mph sitting upright. Old carburettor technology, sure, but 18 bhp is 18bhp. There are websites that calculate power required for a given speed on a bike, that take into account surface area, drag coefficients, weight & rolling resistance. 70 mph requires at least 15 bhp on a light bike at the rear wheel, not the crankshaft, on the dead level in still air. No modern 125 produces 15 bhp at the rear wheel off the production line. So either a downward grade or a very significant tail wind would be required for a naked bike. I'm happy to stand corrected, but I've had a succession of low powered bikes, one of which was a Honda 200 MTX 2 stroke, rated at 26 bhp, & that never saw 80 mph sitting upright either.

Hallo Hyosung Freunde. Ich habe bei meinem Hysung GV125 S, die Ritzel getauscht. Original Ritzel war mit 14 Zähnen ich habe 15er eingebaut. Mich hats genervt wenn der Moped bei Rückenwind, Windschatten oder Bergabfahrt immer in die dämliche Sperre reingelaufen ist. Die Sperre kam bei 121km/h (110km/h laut GPS). Vor miener Haustür ist eine relativ gerade Schnellstrasse. Da schaft mein Hysoung je nach Wind 115-118km/h. So jetzt kommen die ergebnisse nach dem Ritzel tausch. Ich habe heute auf der gleichen Schnellstrasse, kurzzeitig, 122 km/h ansonsten 118-120km/h geschaft und das bei knapp über 10 000U/min. Hochgerechnet muss die Sperre jetzt bei angenehme 130 km/h einsetzen und das bei Bergabfahrt mit Rückenwind :). Natürlich beschleunigt es jetzt gefühlt langsamer aber dafür kann ich später schalten. Möchte noch hinzufügen das die Ritzel Schraube, so ziemlich fest war aber ich mit einer Akku-Schlagschrauber sie sehr leicht aufbekommen habe.

Naked? Roadster? MT-125, GSX-S125 (though it does not look that nice), CB125R, 125 Duke and probably Z125. Probably also in that order. I'm not really a roadster guy.

Welke motor zou je aanraden voor een a1'er om te kiezen. Ik zou er iedere dag mee naar school willen en dan moet ik over de a9 (het stuk dat ik rij is 100km/u), ik zou ook over de 80km/u weg kunnen en ik moet ongeveer 20km rijden naar school. Wat voor a1 motor zou je aanraden voor mij?

Iets met 11kW, vloeistofgekoeld. En dan ligt het er nog aan wat je smaak is. Voor een naked bike zou ik denk ik voor een Suzuki GSX-S125 gaan, die zijn behoorlijk snel. Yamaha MT-125 kan ook nog, maar is nieuw duurder. Als supersport een YZF-R125 of Suzuki GSX-R125. Kawasaki kan ook, maar bij 116km/u is het wel klaar en Yamaha en Suzuki gaan daar nog een stukje overheen. Cruisers etc. voor het A1-rijbewijs hebben volgens mij allemaal minder dan 11kW vermogen en als je de snelweg op gaat, wil je toch echt wel zoveel vermogen hebben als dat je mag hebben. Maar ook dan blijft het met 125cc nog aanpoten.

I should ride the 2023 model of the Hyosung as the X-Ride I rode was a Euro5 model, this Hyosung a Euro4 model. You can't compare them. They get slower the higher the Euro-number gets.

I am always so disappointed in speedometers that display so much more than the bike is actually going. What has the manufacturer to gain from this? Luckily, my RC125 has an accurate speedo, but I am already anxious my CBR 650F won't have one as my buddy's MT07 doesn't either.

KTM is pretty accurate. Not many brands have that. Not sure why they have this big difference. Maybe because of speed cameras so you won't get a ticket if you ride a little bit faster on the speedo. For KTM you will get a fine if you think it is way off. :)

My best guess is that they actually put it there because the vehicle might be able to achieve those speeds if the road goes downhill. That can give you an extra 20 km/h that you wouldn’t be able to get just on your own on a flat road.
