I'm looking into upgrading from my Vulcan 900 Classic LT to an Indian Classic, but going tro seriously look at the Bobber as well. Videos like yours helps in researching what I'll be test rideing and ultimately choosing to ride. I'm 74 years old and been riding for a long, long time and I loved whagtever I had in my stable, however now I'm looking for a bike that will be the one I'll keep until I decide to hang up my chaps. Your bike definitely.has the estethics and I can tell you've been smitten, just as I will soon be. Thank you for youer honest review video. Bear

I put a set of supershox on my bobber that were for the regular scout, it raised the rear up about 3/4" which made the ride much more tolerable and made the front a bit 'lighter' to flick around. Anyone getting a bobber that isn't used to scrapping pegs... find a roundabout in a low traffic area and scrape the shit out of your pegs over and over until it doesn't freak you out, it should be a very early warning to let you know how far you are leaning, not an "oh shit I have to stand the bike up" feeling... there's plenty of lean left after the pegs touch so don't be afraid to use it if you need it.

Great review! You’re spot on about the seat. Been riding the new Sixty Bobber for a little over a month now and I had to go with the Indian comfort seat and it made a world of difference. Also added the 2 into one Scout exhaust with the performance intake. Added close to 10% in HP or at least that’s what they advertise. Can definitely feel it. Question for you, how’s the view with the bar end down mirrors? Love the look with the even lower profile but I don’t want them if it hurts my view. Thanks again for the great view.

So, it's not awesome. I have to do some elbow-fu in order to see around me. But! I have just changed to Drag Bars from Dean Speed with ROX 2" Risers. I added some triangle bar-end mirrors that stick out directly on-level with the bars. The look is great, the comfort is fine enough for me.

@@dadwithabike care to answer some questions? I'm considering the purchase of an Indian 60. I've read many reviews (good and bad) and one of the problems people commented about was the vibration at 70+ mph. What is your assessment? Was the vibration just in the bars or the whole bike? I had a sportster and it was unpleasant. I appreciate your time.

@@colemanhigley747 the bobber also had that same vibration but an upgrade to the handlebars and grips solved it for me. A lot of people spread false info about the 60 series on the scouts. What are your concerns about going to Indian for service? I live in Round Rock, TX where there used to be a dealer who sold new Indians, but they have since stopped selling new ones and moved to Austin. The nearest dealer having new bikes are at least 40 miles away. By contrast, one can get a Honda or HD and there’s tons of places to get service and parts.
@dadwithabike
@dadwithabike 4 жыл бұрын
I'm a little bit of a gear head so I do all of my own service (except if there are recalls) on all the bikes I have ever owned. I have found that working on the bobber is really easy. So in short, I typically do not have concerns - but if one is not mechanically inclined or just doesn't want to do the work themselves, then I would definitely go with something that has more popularity in the town you live.

Nice Bike! :) You are the only other person in the Austin area with a Bobber! I have the 19 Icon Series in Brass. It's unbelievable how many compliments this bike gets. You're pretty spot on with how I feel with this bike (I come from a FZ600, CB400, and an R1). Send me a message some time and we should take a ride. I've ridden Volente and Lime Creek a million times over the years, though not on this bike, strangely enough. 2019 Bobber, Icon Series Corbin Seat, Freedom Radical Radius Exhaust, DynoJet PV3, Avon Cobra tires, FMJ bars, JW Speaker Adaptive 2 light......March 2019.......14,000 miles and counting. P.S., if you haven't gotten replaced your factory tires, check out the Avon Cobra Chrome.

those are gorgeous bikes...thinking about buying a 2020 scout bobber twenty (comes wild mini ape bars) but slightly concerned about overall comfort. Do like to do day trips or weekend trips. These bobbers seem more ideal for around town bikes. I def would change seat and maybe shocks, that plus price of bike...its getting up there with the $$$....nice review!
@dadwithabike
@dadwithabike 4 жыл бұрын
I love the Bobber, truly do and you can make it comfortable. I personally wasn't ready (or wanted) a bagger yet and that's why I grabbed the bobber. I have changed this bike a lot (seat, shocks, fairing, bars, etc) and now it's comfy and I have taken it on 600 mile rides. The best thing about it ... you'll be the fastest guy, the worst thing about it ... you need gas often (only 3.2 gallon tank).
