You just said exactly what I thought of this bike. I have never ridden an Indian but I still look at them. I like some of the features of their bikes but overall they are not my personal preference. Please note, I did not say anything negative about these bikes. I also appreciate the fact that they as a company push Harley Davidson to be better too. Let's face it who doesn't love a good rivalry. You need your Microsoft vs Apple, your Ford vs Chevy.

Competition is great, but when only two or three companies control the market its nother more than a Monopoly. Microsoft and Apple are no different than Republican vs Democrat same two shity choices.

I bought a scout bobber about 6 months ago. I think it’s an amazing bike. I have had no issues. The lack of a fuel gauge is a little annoying, but I just reset the odometer and refill at 100miles. The seat also gets uncomfortable when going on multi hour rides.
@gsabella45 жыл бұрын
I loved the Scout Bobber. Dream bike, however it's quite pricey!
@rod87635 жыл бұрын
Rode that exact bike right before you did. Being a shorter guy (29" inseam) the controls felt just a bit too far forward. Not terrible, but I think, for me, it would get uncomfortable on a longer ride. You're spot on with the suspension, I barely felt any bumps and the roads we were on weren't the greatest. Great review Bird, looking forward to your future vids.

I'm short as well. There are reduced reach controls, handlebar, seat and a heel shifter. Whole different bike after these changes.

I loved the route that they (Mission City Indian) gave us to get a really great feel for the bike. I love the Bobber, but I'd need to either add the passenger seat or the back rest since when we pulled onto the Interstate I felt like I was coming off the back of the seat. Awesome video review!!

I have had my Scout for 4 years and I'm definitely not bored with it. It's great for commuting to and from work. Although, I am looking for a larger bike for longer rides because after 2 hours the ride gets pretty brutal. I even replaced the stock seat with a Corbin and rear shocks to make it more comfortable, but for longer rides, it's a challenge. Luckily after 130 to 150 miles, you have to stop and fill up your gas tank anyway.
@BikeNBird5 жыл бұрын
Yeah I think you bring up a good point and that's what the bikes going to be used for. For us, literally NONE of our rides are under 2 hours. When we ride it's a full day/full weekend affair.

I think a windscreen would solve this issue, the only problem is the Scout looks terrible with any sort of windscreen. I have a 2020 Thunder Black Scout ABS.

I test rode one of these & after an hour I was a bit uncomfortable, it's fun & a good bike though. It's a Harley Sportster competitor really, not on a par with the softail lineup, which is what suits me.

Wow, I love my Sportster but this bike is lighter & has double the hp of a Sportster & has a 6th gear which every Sportster rider craves. Why can’t Harley build a bike like this?
@1066serenity5 жыл бұрын
Harley have a new liquid cooled 1250cc Custom on the way.
@BikeNBird5 жыл бұрын
Because they have better bikes that are within the same price range. Also idk where you're getting double the HP numbers from. Comparing to the iron 1200, the iron comes in 2 grand cheaper. Granted it has about 25% less HP, it does have more torque (which will almost always be the case when comparing Indian to HD). Compare it to the entry level softail, while about 2 grand more than the Indian, you're getting about 40% more torque and quite a few more creature comforts.

Well I'm sorry I'm a hardcore Harley Davidson guy won't ride anything but Harley I think Polaris needs to go back to drawingboard and redesign the Indian line of motorcycles because they look so 50's era in my opinion they are ugly af sure they got plenty of power but so does the Harley Davidson Milwaukee Eight but to me its how they look that turns me off I want a bike that has great performance and good styling Indian Motorcycles isn't that.

I fucking love the vintage looks of the indians. I dont have one yet but im buying a scout and a dark horse. They gotta keep the bikes true to their heritage. And i think they are doing a great job.

Then why are you a Harley guy? Their quality SUCKS! And their pricing is ridiculous.. let’s not mention the bs about the warranty.. I could go on .. Harleys are overpriced, poor performers - who are milking a brand of dying boomers
