Doesnt work with Odin 3.13, but with 3.07! 8:24 This happened to me also. What did you do so TWRP starts?? Solution: In Odin deactivate "Auto-Reboot". Then when the recovery-flashing is finished. Unplug the cable, REMOVE THE BATTERY, PUT BATTERY BACK IN and THEN boot into revovery with the Button-Combination "Volume-Up", "Start-Button" and "Power". Then it will work!

for the record, this method works on odin3 v3.14. To enter into recovery mode Press and hold Vol up, Home button and Power. Once you see the blue message on the top left of the screen RELEASE POWER and keep HOLDING Vol up and Home button. Thank you @Zaori

what happened when the phone booted into the old recovery? I have the same issue. How did you solve that?

I figured it out. The phone automatically replaces the recovery on startup. So to use TWRP you have to disable automatic reboot in Odin under the options tab, or quickly remove the battery before the phone can reboot.

Switch off the auto reboot in Odin, I read this on someone else comment and it worked it’s under the options tab. Once the flash is done off the phone and reboot to recovery.

You have to disable Auto Reboot since the original firmware replaces the custom recovery on boot. After installation is done, turn off the phone and directly boot into recovery. Once you booted TWRP, it will modify the OS that it doesn't replace the recovery.

I always advise never, in few cases only older worked. Since this is my old tutorial you can you used version.

I guess you started odin as admin, but the files are on your own desktop. I had the same at first, move the files to a shared location and you'll be fine.
