Interesting video however I believe the order should be, 1 - remove oil filler cap - helps suction of oil into pump, 2 - loosen filter holder- allows any old oil to drain into sump, 3 - remove dip stick,, Plus very important, you should of shown the location and fitting of the new 'O' ring on the filter holder. best regards.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has numerous oil approval specs. It’s crucial to get the oil JLR approved for your specific car NOT just any oil containing a JLR approval reference.

Great video, thanks. The handbook for my 2021 2.0 petrol (UK) has the spec as STJLR.03.5006 which was on the bottle you showed in the video, hope this may help others. Castrol Edge Professional is the recommended brand.

I don’t like the long intervals for the oil change at the dealership. I’ve been wanting to do one myself. I am gonna buy the same setup as you. It looks so easy and fast to get it done

Suggest to use original Castrol oil, there are several reports that non-OEM oil (even specs are the same) could lead to damage turbocharger and cause faster timing chain wear out.

Slick little tool to remove the oil. Saves a lot of time 👍

Did you check under the oil fill cap for a hard tube in the middle? The F Type has the tube and that where you connect the oil extractor tube to, to suck it out.
@n5es Жыл бұрын
There wasn't a tube. Unfortunately, that F-Pace was lost in the flood of IAN. I now have a new F-Pace SVR.

You think that there is no difference drying oil sump vs using fluid extractor? How about magnetic DRAIN PLUG ? It also need to be changed where it can receive new metal chips.

Bonjour quelle huile utilisé pour faire la vidange du différentiel avant et arrière et de la boîte de transfert d'une f pace diesel 2l 2016? Merci

Thank you so much for this video, my wife have a 2019 f-pace 30t and the dealer only do one oil change per year and I was wondering if I can do it my self at least twice a year.
@richardbryant93252 жыл бұрын
Your oil change should be done every 6 thousand miles, not once a year.

Very informative, Sir! I have the same engine as yours but mine is a 2018 XF 25t Premium. I like it a lot.

This way of removing oil does not empty the sludge from the bottom and is a poor way of removing oil. Thats why it has a drain plug!!!!!!Doh!!

Excellent Would you be kind enough to do The fuel filter The air filter Pollen filter Top up Screen wash fluid It’s for a jaguar diesel F-Pace Oil filter is easier to remove than my wife’s Citroen C3 diesel. Fuel filter is buried in the Middle bit of the Citroen and the air filter the same. Glad I don’t have to remove the 21 screws underneath the jag. Thank you

Theodore Nelson well, this oil change was done at 5000 miles. Once I get to the interval for the other services I might post those too.
@ravenbonanza15223 жыл бұрын
@@n5es Yes, please do. I have a 2018 XF 2.0T (25t) with the same engine as your F-Type. I learned a lot from this video that you did. This will help me do the the service interval when my Jag warranty expires. Thank you.

Bro are you crazy? Sucking out all the oil isn’t possible, it’s at the bottom in the oil pan. Why do people keep doing this stupid shit?
@richardbryant93252 жыл бұрын
They suck it out from the top because removing the drain plug over and over every 6 thousand miles causes damage to the oil pan. Evac from the top side is referred for most foreign cars now, especially hyundai and kia.

First, they pour "water" like 0W-20, and then they wonder why they turn the crankshaft liners or even break it.
