Good video style! You picked up the interesting features instead of reading the whole list.I am also impressed, as this is the first time I do like the appearence of that bike - maybe that black color sheme helps here a lot. Electronic is fantastic. Set preload by a button by passenger and luggage. Then set rebound/compression button by sport, touring or road. So comfortable on any road surface.

This bike really is the whole package: on top of the saddlebags, you get 175 hp, 104 lb.ft of torque, electronically adjustable WP suspension, comprehensive TFT display, and one of the most satisfying seating positions ever. Just to name a few. I hope that answers your question.

Apex Cycle What I meant is what comes with the bike from the factory. And some videos you don’t see the saddlebags so some people wouldn’t know that it comes with those bags so besides those bags what else does it come with

The senior model required repeated clutch master & slave re-bleeding. Drove rider mad and many fitted an oberon clutch ctrl system to deal with that. Has the new model received any upgrades in that department?

what is the deal with this Matt paints on the body panels , they are extremely difficult to look after and if you scratch them you need to buy a new one as you can't paint them. I heard that they didn't sell a lot of this new GT early days but thank you for the video.

Matte paint has definitely remained trendy longer than we thought it might, but the product has really increased in quality over the years too. It doesn't necessarily show small scratches as much as gloss does and it does give the bike a meaner look and looks great when contrasted with glossy areas, such as on the 1290 SDGT. You do have to buy special cleaners to avoid smudges though.

It is hard to beat Japanese refinement but KTM is the largest motorcycle manufacturer in Europe for good reason. They have a good-sized dealer network in most areas and their bikes have a lot of high-end components - buy one and you might surprise yourself!

I had a 2016 GT but my son took it. I bought a 2018 1290r. I buy a bike for the engine and the SD engine is the best. The Apriia tuono is more a sport bike vs Naked and just does not have all the torque. Plus no LED headlight with the Tuono

We couldn't agree more. There is no question that the Tuono is an amazing bike but the 1290 has it all. Comfortable riding position, good steering radius, unique looks (the Tuono is starting to look too much like the RSV4 in our opinion), and that unbelievable engine, as you mentioned.

Guys, stop taking about KTM my ride. It is more than useless in its current implementation. 1.9 out of five rating in the Android store speaks for itself! I have it on my 1290 SAS, so I can speak from a first hand experience, it useless and don,t work.

We haven't encountered that issue here in Canada - we've ridden many 1290 models and the rad did its job like a pro! Sorry to hear that this wasn't your experience.

Factory fueling on these big engine machines is often running lean, to please the EPA emissions standards. That makes ANY engine run hotter than necessary, from a 1301 sportbike down to a 373cc single Duke.

It's not music. It's crappy noise synthesized into a rhythm. It was repulsive the first time anyone's ears ever heard it. But because the music industry is all about maximum exposure, pumping this garbage through radio, mall, barbershop, KZbin, music stores, it's impossible to "unhear" it. What's familiar is more comfortable to most people than what is actually good.
