Harley Davidson 2019 Limited vs Limited Low is a comparison of 2 of HD's top of the line touring models. They are hard to tell apart, and have very few differences, but those differences could mean a lot more comfort for some riders!

I just got my 2019 Ultra Limited and love it. I got it in the same color as that Low you were riding. I didn't know about that app allowing you to look up a location and then sending it to your bike. I would like if you did a REAL in depth KZbin on the ins and outs of the new harley boom touch screen.

By watching you and Matt Laidlaw, I feel there is no stone left unturned when it comes to many of these bikes. It's a great combo of tech and spec along with some great ride footage. Great job as always man! Of course, you guys could always combine a channel and call it Laid-well's, but you might get some sweaty-palmed people clicking here by mistake & that'd just feel like false advertising... All kidding aside, keep up the good work!

I'm 5'9" (depending on which 7-11 I'm leaving), and when I was bike shopping, I tested both the Limited, and the Limited Low. I liked the height on the Low, but just didn't like the way the seat sort of cups your jewels if you know what I mean. It just wasn't comfortable, and I didn't want to give up the heated handgrips (which I've never had before, but they are awesome). I bought the Limited, and have really enjoyed it. Another great video John. I'm glad I'm not the only one who records video, and then forgets to edit it.

Great video. Bought a 2019 limited low in November. Like the low model even though I'm 5'11". Sat on both, compared the bars, etc. Traded in an ultra classic and find the low is easier to back up and handle in parking lots, etc., and I can feel the lower center of gravity that makes it ride a little different. Riding, I don't feel like I'm sitting lower.

I've been using the Ride Planner, on my computer, for my trip to Tennessee and Myrtle Beach this summer. I've mapped out some rides that look to be pretty awesome. I run a Limited Low seat on my 2010 CVO Ultra because the stock seat is horrible. Well, for me because I'm short and the stock seat (on only the 2010) is the flattest I've seen compared to any other Ultra. I don't know why the MoCo did that. It's comfortable to ride on, but it's shaped very differently than all the others. You can even see the difference in photos of the bikes. That's a beautiful color scheme on that low...

It’s not hard but it is time consuming if you don’t have the quick release tour pak kit. It’s not something you want to take off and put back on on a regular basis. Not without installing that kit that I mentioned. Even then if your passenger is like my wife she loves to ride as much as I do. So for me it’s not worth taking the tour pak off. Hope this helps brother.

I thinking about the same thing awhile back the difference is I was debating on the street glide and the electra glide classic to have the ability to take off the lower fairings incase I didnt like I didnt like them for where I live and in one of his videos he said its cheaper to break a bike down then to build one up and after looking up prices hes right if you get the limited and not the classic then you cant remove the lower fairings I also recommend filler lights over bag lights if you go with the limited or classic it looks better and more natural but over all it's not hard and depending on where you live some of them will do the stock holder to quick release and insert the new lights for you

I had the quick disco set up on my 2010 ultra. to be honest, it's way too expensive so if I had another Ultra, I would just remove the tourpack, buy the plate bracket separately and add a set of inserts for rear blinkers. The amount of times I used the tourpak doesn't warrant the convenience of quick disco over taking the time to remove and replace.

I personally own a 2015 ultra classic low. It's not the limited but a low none the less. Compared to the 2011 ultra limited, the 2015 low is like riding in a dump truck! The rear suspension on the 2011 was air ride and on the 2015 I have coil overs with adjustable pre load. Hopefully that helps with your question.

Is it only the newer harley infotainment systems that allow you to upload rides from the app?
@TheHarleyTech

Yes, the new GTS. The original versions require a thumb drive I believe. I’ve never done it, though. You know, not owning one and all.

Do they still make the side covers on the motor narrower like they did a few years ago on the ultra-low?

All of them are slim on the Milwaukee 8 models. Even the softails now have a narrow cover

Hey John, Mike C. here ... nothing to do with this video, I have a question for you. I am thinking of adding a FP3 Tuner (Vans&Hines) to my 2016 Street Glide Special. in going to plug the tuner in to the bike I noticed that where you plug it in it should be a 6 pin grey plug. when I opened the plug to plug in the FP3 I noticed that the bike plugin only had 5 pins sticking up and a sixth one with nothing. is it suppose to look that way, I mean only have 5 pins sticking up? my cell # 909-239-0308

Bought the 2018 low.....I'm 5'8.... Too low....just bought the 600 dollar HD hammock seat...replaced the small floor boards with standard.... Got bigger grips and will get 1" taller rear shocks..... Why did I buy a low...it was the last 18 limited Waco Harley had

I believe the Limited Low also has a different primary cover that doesn't stick out quite as much also.

Will the new radio work in an 2018 model? If not why?
@superduty131
@superduty131 5 жыл бұрын
Yes it will, however pricey though. Contact SOUNDZ out of Daytona Beach. They have developed an entire plug and play harness to enable a 19 Infotainment center to be installed in a 2014 and up model. Retail is $500. and from the P&A catalog a head unit $1899. From what I was told full function of all the features work. They had a 2016 Roadglide on display and from what I saw they have sorted out.

I doubt it. You can use a thumb drive to transfer your ride on that radio though.

Any recommendations on gloves for cold weather riding? Was looking at the Cyrus set

Cold weather riding is a relative term. If you want a valid answer to your question you should mention the temperature you plan on riding in.

StoneE4 30-50*, is that sufficient?
@StoneE4
@StoneE4 5 жыл бұрын
Mat Cooper - Is that sufficient? I don't know... That's a pretty big temperature range. For temperatures between 40º-50º I'd recommend a modestly insulated pair of leather gauntlets. If you're riding in 30º-40º weather for longer than 20 minutes, I'd recommend buying a second pair of gauntlets (or possibly mittens) with even more insulation. If you don't mind spending extra money and/or dealing with wires, heated gloves may be an option. The main thing to consider with insulated gloves is the bulk they add to your hands and whether or not that bulk is worth the loss in dexterity and sensitivity. I would recommend the gloves that I have, but unfortunately that mom and pop business no longer exists. Finding a good pair of gloves that fit your needs and provide the needed amount of warmth, in my experience, means trying on a lot of different gloves and purchasing some clunkers along the way. I wouldn't recommend buying gloves without trying them on unless you're already familiar with that particular glove. Although they're a bit on the pricey side, Harley makes decent gloves, so if you're in a situation where you need a good pair right now, I wouldn't rule them out. Also, keep in mind that what suits me in 40º weather might not suit you... You're asking a question that -may- will have different answers for different people.
