Yup, 1961 d/d/d, love rpm coins. I'm still finding 2015 Lincoln penny double die here on the west cost, really strong doubling too, condition on it is great, not MS 66 or anything but a beauty for sure.

It's pretty cool to see several coins on this list that I have found over the past year! One I bought and that's the 3 cent nickel. The only thing is mine has a dang hole in it where someone made a necklace or something, it still has a nice cud and I only paid $0.75 cents for it. Have a GREAT Day!!!

I have a quarter with the hole about 5 mm in diameter, so I have usednmy Microscope for gems and looking at it under 10x it looks likes the one that they sell on Etsy. You can search on Google's and check it out. Good luck

The only good reference book on error coins then was called "Major Variety and Oddity Guide of United States Coins" by Spadone. It's what I used at the time. Your library probably has a copy floating around somewhere. There are better options today, I think, but I'll let you be the judge. Good luck in your hunt.

How are you my friend? I have found in pocket change over the last couple of months 2 coins that are baffling my brain. A nickel and a dime. But my dilemma is really the nickel which I truly believe is a “ Black Beauty “ , but is a 2016P nickel!?!? Is this even possible?? Then the same question about the 1988 P dime?? Is this even possible with the metal makeup?? Also while I have your attention I have found a 1993D penny,which at first glance, I thought was going to be a 43 steel wheat, has no copper on either obverse nor reverse. So I believe that would be called no “copper clad” ? If you would like, I will send you an email of all 3? I would really love your opinion on/or about them and your advice on what to do about them since I am still fairly new to the coin searching game, and really loving it. Holy crap, I now know to always follow my gut. I went to a gas station and something told me to ask the old man for few rolls of quarters. He hesitated for a sec and gave me a roll of quarters and 2 rolls of dimes. I was wondering why they all looked like garbage 😲😲 This video just showed me he gave me a mint roll of those damaged 2020 quarters and everyone has that same damage but they're all perfect and brand new aside from that 🤯

Like 00000345 would be a good one, it's the "0"s at the beginning that makes it low #'s.

took my coins to a NGC dealer and he told me the coins i thought were errors were just damaged, but you talk about coins on here that look like ones i have, lamination error, split planchet, is there a way to see if they really are errors or damaged? i also had 2 1943 zinc pennies, and a Millard Fillmore presidential coin, that he said had been rezinced..why would someone do that????

I have a 1939 German 10 pfennig coin with on the other side an Eagle holding a wreath with a Swastika inside the wreath. I also found hidden in the basement when we moved into our house in 1987, a German device that is In German is a Mutter Kompass, that was used in WWII German bombers navigation system.

Just curious, looking at that 1st dime you showed around the 5:00 mark. I do not see how the obverse could possibly be the same coin. The reverse clearly shows a huge chunk of the rim missing which is not missing on the obverse view. Second, for dime and most other coins, the obverse and reverse are stamped 180 degrees from each other, so the crack should show along the bottom of the obverse. These are 2 different dimes.

Are you saying that you have a trained eye?. Cuz when you were talking about the dime with the clip. You can see it on the reverse and then you say it should be on the top of the obverse but if you know coins it would be on the bottom of the obverse.. Just wanted to let you know.

Well today I got a roll of wheat and Indian head pennys and found and collar die clash in a 1919 wheat cent and looking to see how it maybe value. Also has a strike in the 1 in 1919 that prevented the number to be affected, but we will see about that.

I have a 2006 penny that has really strong mint luster on it. It's like a blazing colored coin. I looked at mint state pennies from 2006 and mine had stronger mint luster.
