Spike Spiegel I have a 2019 STI and I have more fun driving it than my mustang. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy my mustang but I can't use half it's power on the road legally. My wife has a 2018 GTI and I love that car too. Each car has its own feel and are rewarding to drive in different ways. All my cars are on my channel if you care to see them. I don't have kids so they are my children.

Car Story I’m a import guy but I’d take the mustang over a STi any day of the week. After owning 2 (97 gf8 hatch with a ej255 swap and a regular 08 2.5i) I won’t buy another. Headgaskets failed on both, they both ate crank position sensors multiple times and the ej255 blew ringlands, at that point I parted it out... the fa20dit in the WRX can make more power then the ej257 stock turbo to stock turbo, and it won’t blow up... STi just seems like a waste of $.

These are fantastic cars. I turo’d a 2019 RF club in LA for a week. The canyon roads in Malibu were incredible! I drove it hard and still averaged over 30mpg! I nearly cried when I had to turn it back in.

I am having the same problem man, I have a Camaro SS 1le which is a track monster, at track I go head to head with any car under 100K in advance group...But I find myself driving the car less and less every day, when I first got it I was driving it every other day, then it became weekends only, then from track day to track day...it’s just not possible to enjoy it on the streets without making so much “noise” and the car is only fun when you drive it hard but you can’t enjoy it because you’re constantly worried about getting pulled over (I live in Irvine, CA the worst city for a car guy) Miata on the other hand you can be slowing down for a red light coming at 30 miles heel and toe down shift it will put a smile on your face, whereas camaros and mustangs engine is just snoozing. In a perfect world I would keep my SS 1le for track days, Miata for weekend and my Genesis G70 Manual Transmission to go work work/DD! That’s a perfect set up for a “car guy” but most of us with wife & kids, this is very difficult to pull off.

It's the rf version, which is a bit more expensive but in my opinion it's worth it, since it gives better isolation from the outside when it's cold and makes the car more practical for everyday usage. On the other hand it adds some weight, but doesn't affect that much the drivability of the car

@@smellingmeerkat7225 The weight is not the biggest of problems, but it also makes looking around a little bit harder and also makes a lot more noise with the roof down because of the back, and you never feel as much in the open air because you're only got the top part open. I'd save money and go for a soft top, unless you live in a place with more extreme climate. But obviously it's all up to the person.
