Although it's partially true, I still resent that stereotype about G63 owners. I don't own one so let me put that out there as a disclaimer. But to me, if I was to get one (it's actually one of the cars I'm considering right now) it would be because this vehicle combines performance, luxury, and offroad capabilities unlike any other SUVs out there today. Sure you got the Trackhawk, a fleet of cars from Land Rover, etc but I'm willing to bet that none are as well rounded as this. If anything, the fact that it draws so much attention is a reason why I would rule it OUT.

You’ll definitely see this G-Wagan in Beverly Hills. It’s like a really wealthy person’s Jeep Wrangler. In fact, one could get 3 fully loaded Wrangler Rubicons for the price of that Mercedes G-Wagan.

I’ve heard there's a lot of wind noise going at highway speeds, because of the truck's “Lack Of Aerodynamics”. Can you confirm ?

J.R. Brooklyn it’s not bad at all. Glass is double pane, actually quieter than I expected. The one downside is the overpressure from the A/C if it’s going above level 5 or 6. Can be uncomfortable- to the point we drive with sunroof cracked. Nice that it’s water tight, but MB is seeking a fix for this as it’s a bit much. Although. That’s the only quirk - it’s truly a bad a$$ truck.

I do not agree. Yes it's become a status symbol but the engineering that goes into the truck is proven and tested and lastly I won't worry much about maintenance other than the normal car maintenance.

AdonisTonga, the bulbs actually aren’t halogen. Mercedes uses a warmer led bulb to reduce eye strain at night. Similar to the new feature on the iPhone called “night shift.”

Wrong. The reason people fail to get the doors closed is NOT because they need to be slammed. Open a window then close gently. Thats how air tight they are made
