Actually it's a rumor its not just with MG many cars in there intial stage face some issues but the MG hector is safe as I'm using it for more than 1 year still no problems at all

Mileage is a big concern in a petrol automatic . It depends how you drive, I'm getting around 10 to 11 but in heavy traffic its only 7
