It's sad that the videographer is so into showcasing their own skills instead of showing the bands. Always late on the soloists and too many upclose shots of instruments. Take a lesson from the Essentially Ellington videographers.
@bongoloony4 жыл бұрын
All terrific players, but where are the young black musicians?
@jaxonellis29954 жыл бұрын
Don't do that!!!...Jazz has been and always will be inclusive of all cultures. Especially now. If you watch the videos of NYO led by Sean Jones, Wyntons JLCO competitions or Joan Chamorro's youth bands you will see all represented. Watch Wynton's tribute to band director Steve Massey and you will see it is so not about race. If you walk around with a hammer everything looks like a nail, likewise if you walk around with your race glasses on, everything looks like racism.

I hope the trumpet player, Kellin Hanas, learns a little "self control" in the future. I mean...it's great to get into it, it's AWESOME to see people get into it, but that constant head bopping and face-making during the entire song is a bit much. But GREAT JOB regardless!!!

If you were sitting around these kids with the chops they have, you would be doing the exact same thing.
