Idc what anyone says, I ran miles on miles in all my free runs. 8+ a day. I prefer it over the over cushioned runner shoes that Nike produces. My feet get cramps with lunarlon and all the other run cushions Nike makes.

I truly believe that there is a shoe for everyone. If these work for you these are the shoes for you. I personally have to be more aware of my pronation when I wear these shoes but I think that is a good thing. I shouldn't be relying on corrective shoes to fix my problem for me.

I’ve run multiple half marathons in multiple versions of Frees. It was until a few months ago that I learned they were recommended for runs under 3 miles. My only problem is I can only get about 250 miles out of them before they start to breakdown and hurt

Great and thorough review! Shoutout to Frieza for giving out the last bit of design influence on color. Lol Personally, I’m on the fence until I try them on. I’m interested in getting the 3.0 as well since I like minimalist shoes. But for me the 5.0’s just look cool. Hopefully, they’ll restock it in crimson/black. Otherwise I’ll be getting the Frieza version you got.

okay... serious question would this be any good for parkour or actual free running?
@ZootyPickups4 жыл бұрын
Honestly, no. I've never done any of that stuff but I think you'd need the shoes not to be so loose. The upper doesn't grip your foot as tight, and your foot might move around within the shoe, that could lead to injury.
@robijakus68604 жыл бұрын
@@ZootyPickups ohh thank you for the quick reply you were quicker than nike's customer service loller XĐ, but i ordered a pair already cuz i figured well if not for parkour i'll just use them for regular ass running or just regular everyday life, i just needed a new pair of spring shoes... but from legit everywhere i've heard that they are super loose and they loosen up even more with use so i ordered 1,5 size smaller just to be sure XĐ that might do the trick... i just hope they don't turn out too short cuz my feet are very weird shaped they're pretty wide and stubby and i can jam them into shoes even 2 size smaller but i dunno... kinda scared... but hey nike does return things for free within 30 days so i think i'm safe... again thanks for the quick reply you're awesome

@@Michael-lc8yl i already got the shoe and i tested it and everything, and yes the sole is pretty fuckin slippery definitely not good at all for rock brick or metal surfaces, but weirdly enough it sticks amazingly to these weird... i dun even know what to call it these weird indoor wall material things that they also use to build these stairs and shit everywhere in town... and it's also pretty decent on concrete and amazing on just ground or grass... i definitely would not suggest it as a parkour shoe but as a martial arts tricking shoe it would performe amazingly

Damn. I just got into running and only plan on running up to about 4 miles each run, about 5 days per week. Because I saw on Nike's website that these were designed for shorter distances and that I think they look cool, I ordered them. Now I'm worried that I should have gone with Zoom Pegasus or something. It sounds like these aren't very comfortable. I'm running on inner-city park trails, etc. so it's mostly fine gravel (no paved roads, etc.). It looks like you're running on pavement/streets based on the black bottoms in the video.

@@cb876 I actually returned them and got a pair of Pegasus 35, which I absolutely love. I realized that I generally do 10km or more runs, and about half of the time is on gravel, so the Free series would probably not have been a good choice. I'm thinking they're better for sprints on a track.

@@sadekx5251 Whole different ballgame running barefoot compared to wearing something with an inch of foam underfoot. It's not even the same. The closest thing you're going to get to 'barefoot' running without actually being barefoot is by wearing those weird minimalist sandals that barely protect your feet from pointy objects.
