2019+ OEM 4 Piston Brakes on Trailblazer SS

4 Piston Front calipers off of 19-23 GM 1500 trucks and SUV's on my Trailblazer SS. Should be the same for 02-09 Trailblazers
Parts used in video:
Washers From ACE: (4) M8 Part #:4121-C 0.097in thick.
GM Right front caliper 13545382.
GM Left front caliper 13545383.
Stop tech Stainless brakelines Front 950.62013 Rear 950.62508.
All pads and disks from R1 concepts TBSS rotors and rear pads.
Front pads for a 2020 Silverado Front side NON performance brakes.

Exactly! Looks alone make it worth it. The wheels sit much better with spacers. I actually had them on before for esthetics. 1 inch out back and 3/4 up front. Bora brand which has a solid reputation.

Some people complain about a longer brake pedal due to more fluid to push for the 4 pot calipers. Do you experience any of that?

I didn’t experience that. Almost feels like they didn’t bleed the system correctly. I also did a abs bleed on mine just to be safe.

Hi, so the only thing you did is shaving the surface for clearance the the rest is plug and play? am planing to upgrade mine as well, how about the rear ones?

One of the spindle holes needs to be elongated and need washers to center the caliper. The description gives you the pn. No idea on the rears. Most do 15’s and have to downgrade caliper. I plan on running 20’s and 15’s at some point.

@@Npena100 thank you man! yes i did watch the washer part, my tbss kinda have spongy brakes, i changed the master and booster still the same, also the brake pad delays to come back up after pushing down.

@@slowrookhighly suggest you do stainless braided lines!!! They’re known to help in the spongy category. I should also have the part numbers in my description for those! If not dsp sells them in the brake section.

So you have to ream out the holes where the caliper bracket mounts on the spindle? I hope that’s not a dumb question, I’m just confirming because you said it uses the stock bracket bolts.

Yup, that is correct! The caliper is like 1/8th or so bigger from center to center on the mounting point flange

Yup, stock TBSS rotor. I have plans on getting a 2020 rotor and redrilling it just haven’t make myself a templet yet. Mainly because the rotors are still new.

Yes, absolutely have to run spacers. They won’t clear the caliper since these have pistons on the outside of the caliper unlike stock calipers.

Best upgrade in terms of cost and performance! There’s a 6 piston kit now that’s not much more than these. So maybe I’ll gather parts to do that setup.

@@CraneNut427 When you have a chance see if your single cab caliper bolts up to the 14 bolt. If it does I don’t see why it wouldn’t work!

From the 2002 avalanche those two piston calipers fit, I think it’s also on the 2001 Escalade and of course redrill the new 1” larger rotors.
