I saw this live, and there is nothing that beats the live race, but it makes seeing it again here on YT a completely different experience. You simply can't see everything from trackside, but the energy is so intense! That makes me want to see the replay here even more, to see the things I missed.

greetings. I know what you mean from Nürburg and Spa, (especially at the Nordschleife you get to see a VEERY small amount of all the action happening during a race). Both are racetracks from which i think the live-experience couldn't be better anywhere else - until i watch my annual races at Road America and Road Atlante. I so would love to be there just once.

@@derthilo787 The Nordschleife, Spa, and Le Mans are all circuits I really love in Europe, but how could you decide where to watch at the Nordschleife? It's madness constantly around the whole circuit! But it's way too far for me to just walk around the circuit there and view from different places. Maybe the section between the Kleines Karussel and the Dottinger Hohe? There always seems to be great racing there. Still, I'd want to have a TV with me. And lots of smoked wurst und weizen bier :D Road America is the other track where I've seen live races. I live about 500 km from Road America, and there are so many wonderful places for viewing trackside, it's hard to choose one, so I walk a lot. Pit out, turn 5, and Canada Corner are my favorites. At Road Atlanta I like the turn 10 chicane. There's also something hypnotic about watching the cars come down the hill through turn 12. A lot of people like the turn 3-5 area. There are a lot of crashes there, but I think much more passing happens on the approach to turn 10a. It's a shorter circuit than any of these others, so you see the same cars more often, and it's easier to track their progress. I hope you get to see races at these tracks some day. Some day, when we've gotten COVID under control, I will visit those European circuits too.

How incredibly responsive you guys are to your fans! I NEVER expected a repost! When you conquer the FIA as rulers of the motorsports world, I hope you'll always be the same. You have the best racing anywhere, and you never take your fans for granted. Come by my place some time, IMSA, and the beer's on me. (Free parking!) :-D

Well i'm glad I left the last hour of it to watch tonight. The audio was brutal for the first nine hrs of the 2 original uploads i watched on the weekend. Sometimes it was like they shoved the microphone up the exhaust pipe of one of the cars. Barely heard anything John said and less of Jeremy. Paul Tracy's voice had no problem breaking through the noise though. Go figure lol.

Been rooting for Nissan, Mazda, Mercedes, and Chevrolet (secondly Ford) all season. SPOILER: ... ... ... it's been pretty awful. CTMP could've been Nissan hunting grounds and Mercedes NEARLY MADE IT THIS TIME. Mazda's been a rollercoaster from Daytona lows through mid-season highs and collapse on this race. Good gosh, I hope next year is kinder. MASSIVE thanks to IMSA for a fantastic platform, a great distribution model, -brilliant- graphics that are WAY better than other leagues, and good BoP (when it doesn't benefit Porsche or, as seems the case with Ferrari GTLM in this race, fail to deal with new entries in a convincing way).

@@cak5171 I disagree. I fell in love with the sound of large-displacement, naturally-aspirated, flat-plane-crank V8s with the GT350, and the C8R is even more hellacious. It's got way more low growl than anything else that revs that high, but it just keeps belting well beyond the redline of anything else with that much rumble. That raw, beastly howl is almost unnaturally demented in the best possible way.

@thegreenroom58204 жыл бұрын
why do they race multiple classes like this?
@A.F.Whitepigeon4 жыл бұрын
The prototypes provide the wow factor of high-performance thoroughbred racing machinery, and the GTs provide relevance to road cars. All-pro lineups allow works-backed teams to showcase their full potential, while pro-am lineups provide an opportunity for the gentleman drivers who supply much of the funding for the series and also fill out the grid. In order to keep costs down for independent teams, the pro-am classes use cheaper, more evenly-matched cars than the all-pro classes. An added benefit is this system is that if one or two classes start to get boring due to uneven competition or a lack of entries, it doesn't spoil the entire series.
