Another nice video Matty, really like the look of the 508 especially. We had a 405 when I was growing up and my first car was a 206, for sure Peugeot lost their way a bit in the 00s but the latest designs (including 208/2008) look interesting and definitely worth considering! Looking forward to more content from you soon.

Thanks Todd! 508 is stunning I think. Although it’s probably less of proper estate than the 405 estate it’s still brilliant. I really like the 206, probably the last good car Peugeot made for about 10 years. It was when the cars ending in “07” came out that things went down hill. The new generation “08” cars are much better.

@@MattysCars I'd agree with that. Think the 405 hit 200k miles with very little going wrong, so much for French cars being unreliable! I'm definitely tempted to take a look at a used 508SW but not sure I could live with that tiny steering wheel in such a big car...looks great though

It really depends on what car you go for. If you buy the right one French cars can be very reliable indeed. The tiny steering wheel could be something you get used to

Nice review Matty, I think that all the recent Peugeot’s look rather good and they’re quite contemporary, however they did suffer in last decade and have created a bad rep. I think people need to give them another go. Although the people who drive them still drive off a corner and call people ‘maniacs’

They’re on a bit of a roll now aren’t they. Mad though how every singe car they made for about 10 years was terrible. Yes😂 As much as I like to stay open minded and I do think new Peugeot’s are good. I probably wouldn’t have one in case people thought I listened to “radio Peugeot”

Matty's Cars yes exactly mate 😂 but at the end of the day, they’re just German now which is why they’re looking much better exterior and interior wise

Back in about 2013, I pulled into a pub car park in a Peugeot 406 (estate, strangely enough), and almost as soon as I'd got out, someone passed by and said "The last decent car Peugeot made, that." I take it that's no longer true, then?

The Peugeot 207 wasn't great, sir... That was one the worst cars I have ever driven on my channel. The 508 is much, much better!
